What day did you arrive in Santiago for there to be fireworks? Nice video

St. James day (Jakobus tag) is at July 25th . At the evening before (july 24th) they start the firework, that way that it ends exactly at midnight. At a holy year (when 25th of July is a sunday - next 2010) the fireworks is about 60 minutes long - at a "regular" year about 30 minutes.
