@3NUNS Hi, There is not a lot left to see as the yacht was cut up by the Admirality a few years after this disaster. The engines, guns,screw, etc etc were removed and what you see is the scrap that is left including ammunition shells bullets, boiler, cut prop shaft and shards of the interior of this one time luxury private steam yacht once known as the Amalthea and launched as Iolanthe ! These men had survived the horrors of WW1 only to die within a stones throw of their homeland. What a tragedy.

@3NUNS Yes they were drowned, and the wreck lies in 40 ft of water just below the memorial on the shore
