@slaphappynick Well .. Too bad for you now that in one of his first declarations under oath, he said that he didn't hear a single racial insult during that game. He then told Michel Langevin from CKAC that he was sitting close to Nagy when the ref came to warn him that no racial insult would be tolerated. That's only one of the many contradictions. Keep in mind there was a deal outside the court ,, What is in that deal is only part of the truth ..

By the way, there was another report that claimed it was actually a Slovakian player that said the remarks. Joseph backed up Doan's story 100%, and he was right there on the ice when it happened. Even Brodeur and Briere, who are from Quebec, stand right by him.

I'm so proud of what Shane is doing for our country over in Moscow now. Good for him, and he definitely deserves to be captain.

The refs on the other hand, were on the ice. Cormier was 1 meter away from Doan, he is POSITIVE Doan said it.

That´s true, but if there were even one witness why didn´t Doan get any penalties after the game? Curtis Joseph was on the ice and Doan was talking to him. Why would Joseph lie? Joseph said that Doan was talking to him and he also said that Doan didn´t insult frenchcanadian referees.

This is how it happened: When the refs heard the racist comments, they thought that warning R. Tocchet was enough. Then, the Liberal D. Coderre commented the incident in the media, so Doan decided to sue him for defamation. So this goes to the tribunal, and the ref M. Cormier was asked to testify whether or not Doan said racist insults to him. He said yes. We all know parjury is a crime, so that's why ppl tend to believe the ref more than the player. The trial will give us our answers.

Several informants say that it might be other player who said it. Doan doesn´t even ever use "the F-word".

Denis Coderre PAID FROM HIS OWN POCKET. Not government funding has gone into this trial. That a former Captain of Team Canada uses racist language against a group that represents an important of Canada's population is ABSOLUTELY a political issue that needs to be addressed. This incident did not happen. There is no proof it ever did and it has already been investigated by the NHL. Separatists like Denis Coderre and his buddies at the Bloc Quebecois are inventing this just as separatists used to complain about an imaginary "fat damned English woman" working at the former Eaton's or Simpson's store in downtown Montreal and refusing to serve clients in French. I assume you heard about that. It was a totally fabricated story.
