  • She doesn't care if you too get red. I mean, NOBODY cares, so stop commenting saying you have red skin!

  • I have the same curse of sensitive skin. I have not yet found a moisturiser that dies not sting or make my face red when I put it on :P and the only liquid foundation that doesn't sting my skin is really expensive and it wouldn't be worth me buying since I hardly ever wear foundation 8 (

  • Thank you so much for sharing. :) I have the same issue sometimes, especially during winter and my eczema breaks out, my skin becomes red after showers and after applying moisturizer. :3 This helped so much, thank you! <3

  • Thanks so much for this :D Great video

  • I'm having a bad breakout right now with lots of redness lol thats why I'm watching this video, ill deff try it out ^_^

  • amazing....

  • You're so pretty!

  • Omg you don't have the most "usual" face and beauty but i think you're GORGEOUS!

  • cherry flavour

    mmmm

  • So beautiful. Is Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer good for dry skin? Thanks

  • i wish i can see a slower version when you apply the foundation because i want to see how easy the brush can help to spread when applying onto the skin.

  • i know this video is old but... WE HAVE THE SAME NOSE :D

  • Hey, hope you see this:

I just bought 190 today, but it is hard..? Will it be softer when I use it or do I need to wet it first?

  • Do you recommend the 190 foundation brush from Mac? :) Ps this video was very helpful for me!

  • Do all moisturizers irritate your skin? =[

Wow the makeup looks great at the end, really natural-looking.

Is the MAC 190 brush really worth the price?

Sorry for the questions but it'd be awesome if you could reply!

  • You don't need to put foundation and concealers and that junk everyday, if you want natural false free skin eat healthy and BE healthy ! inbox me if you wanna know how to get false free skin in 2 weeks, I have amazing recipies! i can email them to u!

  • ive noticed that a lot of gurus use a setting powder when applying their foundations .. does the mac studio fix fluid not transfer? ive been looking for the perfect foundation but i feel that it tends to transfer onto clothes & etc .. thanks

  • is studio fix fluid good for everyday use? o:

  • Dont use the moisturizer you're using, you're allergic to it :)

its causing most of the breakouts..

use the neutragena oil free moisturizer :)

    Its Perrffeecctt :D

    its what I use!

  • @jr0y: She's really pretty! WTF, mate?

  • I use the same brush and foundation. :D

  • i would f**k her

  • do you use this for everyday?

  • lol my face always, alwayyyss breaks out during the time of the month. it sucks.

  • you have awful skin! this tutorial was helpful! :D

  • just a suggestion...

afterwords you could try using a face powder. it will set your makeup and make your skin look airbrushed and flawless!

  • as soon as you put the moisturizer on, i could tell your allergic to it

  • omg it really does look natrual !!you do such a great flawless skin!!i love it your awesome!!i can see that you have senstive skin and truoble acne but i have normal skin and i do have acne and scars does your make up tips cover my acne and scars too??

  • thanks for this video :)

  • do you recomed the foundation you used now? because im looking for a really good foundation that stays on the whole day.. if that even exist.. and i have a typical teenagers skin, not perfect! so, do you have something you really recomend? :D

  • @inesusanne94 I also have teenage skin that's not perfect and I've been using Revlon Colorstay or Make Up Forever HD foundation. They both stay on the whole day and provide good coverage. :)

  • @bananagurlcorean Thanks! :D

  • Thank you xd.

  • your so pretty!

  • if you have ultra sensative skin, try aveeno if youre on a budget, or maybe yes to carrots. aveeno you can find almost anywhere and contains feverfew to reduce redness and is the only drugstore face brand ive ever used that is REALLY sensative and light. yes to carrots is another one thats great. hypoallergenic and all natural organics...perfect for finicky skin. :)

  • what's the name of that lip care you're using here? thanks

  • Hi Cheri, in which parts of your face you use the NW foundation and in which other NC foundation. I have a mess with that. Thanks

  • Thanks for making this video! would you recommend MAC msf?

  • nice job...that nail polish looks really nice on u

  • You should not use Clean and Clear moisturizer. Especially if you have sensitive skin. It contains harsh chemicals that will make your skin "red". I have sensitive skin also and I use Complex 15. It feels great after application. It does not make my skin red, oily and it absorbs very quickly. It is also non-codmogenic so it will not clog your pores. Hope this works

  • do you have oily skin?

  • My skin is so similar to yours. What I usually use for my acne and blemishes is the nutregena wave duo. It cleans deep into your pours, you should try it! Thanks for the advice, my skin is pretty rough and I break out often, especially during my "you know what" ;-)

  • WHERE do you have pimples??? I can't see anything^^

  • I bet I HAVE more pimples... :S

  • I have sensitive skin too and gets red easily, so i start using only products for sensitive skin. And my skin really get more even, calm and resistant.

A good moisturizer for calm down your skin, for me really works, is Lumene Tender Drops, if you skin is oily with a small amount is enough.

    Good luck :)

  • I hate people who suggest they know better.. this is how she applys her foundation and how she likes to do it. why not make a video yourself showing how u like to do it.

  • @iVi1SSYXTR3M3 waht the heck do you mean?

  • @iVi1SSYXTR3M3 ikr?? what works for her works for her

  • @iVi1SSYXTR3M3 COSIGN!

  • is that brush better than the 191 foundation brush? the one tht looks like a paint brush?

  • Yikes maybe you should stop using that moisturizer cuz its probably too harsh for your skin. I have sensitive skin also so I know what a pain it can be.

  • its like adobe photoshop!!! just your using make-up and stuff.

  • yeah, that moisturizer is the ONLY one that makes my skin red like that. =\

  • great vid! thx for sharing and i just want to give a shot out to all the beautiful ladies who are not afraid to show your before face on camera :) i appreciate you not pretending to be flawless or perfect!

    Beautiful!!!!

  • sorry i meant to press the up button:)

  • good routine!! :P x but if you use a daily wash for your face, moustrise itll be fine! just try not to wear foundation, that makes a huge difference! try it for a couple weeks! x

  • You have a good voice!

  • not sure if you've gotten this before, but they have certain moisturizers especially made to reduce redness. and what you said about breaking out during that time of the month, i'm on the same boat.

  • so it doesnt look like cakey at all or anything like that in person?? Thats how i always feel if i put a lot of foundation on

  • dont you set your foundation? O_O

  • rub your face more gently, that will make it not get as red (:

  • Wow you look very different...makeup is totally magic.

  • cool, could you please please write down the names of the brands instead of just saying them , that people can copy it down easier and corectly!? thanks. awesome tutorial!

  • if you have acne prone skin try to use neutrogenas foundation(forgot what is called) cuz dey're gud at making stuff 2 help w/ acne

  • is the MAC concealer and foundation good for acne prone skin because my skin is sensitive and i do have same acne problems as you do lol

  • I'm thinking of trying a foundation brush instead of the sponges I've been using since I started doing my makeup, and this was really useful. Thanks. :)

  • Julianamccoy2009, what era do you live in? short hair on girls is pretty. we're not in the stone age. and that was mean. you bitch.

  • i wasnt trying to be mean i just mean ,,why does girls with that long beautiful hair want to just chop it ALL OFF i love cheri, and YES she is Beautiful!!!!!!!soo kiss it!!

  • mac isnt even all that - Estee lauder is better coverege, has spf n skin care ingrediants...............

  • Hey Cheri, your videos are sooo great and they help me so much! But, just a quick question for you because I think you'll be able to help - whenever I put on foundation, I put it all over my face because you're supposed to do that! But when I put it above my lip and between my nose *cupid's bow area* it looks like I have a mustache! Like, it looks darker there than anywhere else! Help?

    ~livelaughlovexoxo613

  • I use to have that problem too, I started to use more moisturizing face washes, so it may be due to dryness (:

  • try waxing your upper lip, its very common.

    not intending to offend.

  • See, I would but I'm 14...so I don't want to start now u kno?

  • buy a face trimmer. i used to wax and would get bad discoloration, i have this trimmer and no more probs not to mention i get to avoid that pain every couple of weeks lol, life is too short for lip waxing!

  • its because if you dont remove the hairs from that area, your foundation catches on the hairs and you get build up there then it makes it look dark x

  • Good pointtt

  • It doesn't matter when you start waxing because when you wax your hair doesn't grow all thick and nasty like it would if you shaved. Don't ever shave that area if you do then it'll grow back thick. And the more the wax the weaker the hair folices will be.

  • hey cheri. thanks for putting yourself out there, because i can definitely relate! i hate those crappy skin days too :\ but this tutorial definitely helped. looking forward to seeing your other videos :)

    ps. your eyes are lovely!

  • sorry if the name creeps you out lol. my little brother signed on my computer hah.

  • that moisturizer makes me break out, and instead of saying ' y'all need to stop thinking it's flawless ', you should take it as a commitment.

  • You should seriously never wear eye makeup. You have such a fresh looking beauty! I love it!

  • Whats the diff between MACs regular prep+prime and the prep+prime with the SPF? and with ones better?

  • spf has that sun screen protection thing, so that one would be better on the long run due to sun's ray and its cancer causing agents =]

  • How much is the mac prime?

  • i use that clean and clear stuff lol.

i always sneeze after i use it and wash it off at night.

i think i might be allergic.

i should try something else.. lol

  • this is amazing :D

i'm going to go buy some of that stuff.

    do you use powder ever?

  • thanks for the tutorial, i loved watching it :]

oh, and i have really sensitive skin as well

and i used my sister's clean & clear products before and it just stung my skin, and irritated it.

so i played around and tested out a LOT of skin

care products and i find that cetaphil cleanser and moisturizing cream works great on my skin, as well as oil of olay moisturizer lotion. (all my friends used the same lotion when we went to vegas, and they all really liked it.)

  • this is a GREAT tutorial. i love this voiceover style versus your other tutorials :)

  • you're so cute! i love how you talk. :D

  • try applying your moisturizer and primer with a brush, it will make it so your skin doesnt get so red :)

  • Great job!

  • i have that moisturizer and i think im illergic 2 it- which is rly unfortunate! :(!

  • STOP saying your skin is terrible! it isn´t!

terrible skin is if you have bad acne all over your face!

  • should you always use a brush when applying foundation? does it make a difference? i usually use my fingers. (i always clean them beforehand)

  • cetaphil facial cream is great. it's the best i've ever used. idk if you'd like to try it out. great for my sensitive, dry skin.

  • I agree. I used to use some Dior cream for my dry skin but the cetaphil one works WAY better and it's HUGE! It's the best moisturizer I have found for my dry sensitive skin.

  • i <3 MAC^^

  • KABOKI!

    thats fun to say :)

    Oh nice tut too! ^^

  • what lotion do u use???

  • can i know what nail polish are you using? it looks great! :D

  • Sjhe put it in (more info)

    NAILS:

    * OPI's Curry Up Don't Be Late

  • oh, and MAC is pretty expensive

i spend 30 dollars on a studio fix (compact)

  • you buy the majority of great makeup

    and MAC

i agree, its the best makeup

    you can go to sleep

and wakeup and the majority of the time its still on.

but make sure you wash it off before bed

because it's not the best for your skin

    or for sensitive skin

    i have sensitive skin

and after all i have to do for it, its still not great, but better than it can be.

  • can you like tell me how much all of this make up is and where to buy it?!

  • Okay I am sooo getting that concealer

  • i love carmex!! :D

  • Hello Cheri, the moisturiser your using is definitely causing your face to become red. I would avoid using clean and clear - any of their face wash, toners, moisturisers etc. because their products are very harsh and rarely suitable for sensitive skin. You should use a moisturiser that is designed for sensitive skin and is gentle. I would actually recommend Cetaphil as it is very moisturising yet it does not clog pores and it is suitable for sensitive skin too. Hope my mini advice helped!

  • wow amazing foundation o_o

is the prep and prime really necessary? i'm not too sure what it does.

  • Prep+Prime helps to smooth out the face, and make the foundation go on more smooth, and help with the wear length of the foundation.

Its not necessary, but it helps.

  • wow, magic=]

  • u look sunburnt!

  • i love the coverage of the mac studio finish concealer and used to use it all the time. but i stopped and my skin improved alot. i think it was making me break out, so if breaking out is an issue for your skin maybe see if that is the reason..?

  • make vids like bubzbeauty, it's better than speak while you try makeup by yourself. as many ladies

Sor ryab out myeng lish ¡Nice vid!

  • great vid

  • honey if that mousturizer make you go so red STOP using it that is not normal but great video

  • actually it is normal, "honey". I have sensitive skin too. So I would know. It may make my skin a little red, but it's not like it burns.

  • Thank god your back where have you been i have been missing u alot

  • you are so gorgeous!! i've really been enjoying your makeup tutorials, and this one will be sooo helpful!!! thank you!!! <3

  • you r great cheri

  • I prefered your original foundation tutorial.

  • sorry i didnt mean to mark your comment negative

  • CHERI! Thanks for updating girl :) Keep it up!

  • yeah, ill try it thanks.

    and ill fo sho subscrbe

  • I agree, I think you should try another oil-free moisturizer.. I used to use that same one and I got a reaction similar and I have sensitive skin.

  • ahhh i tried macs prep and prime and it made me break out!!

are there any other primers that are good??

  • Hey I whould try lamcome Primer.. Mac has ingredients that makes a lot of people break out.. thats what sucks.. But try the one I recommended.. Its not that expensive and itz chaper then mac.. I think..

try it and then reply to me.. do u also mind subscrbing to me!

  • Thank you for being brave and doing this video! I don't think your moisturizer is necessarily wrong - I have similar skin and it just gets agitated because of all the rubbing in of moistiruzer - I think the fact it calms down after shows that that's all it is.

  • I love your tutorials. I learn a lot from them and they are nice to watch because you have such a nice bubbly personality.

  • wow u get soo red..

    the finish looks great..

    amazing:)

  • i admire the fact that you did this in amazing light and actually let people see your skin as is. most other gurus do their foundation videos in dark rooms probably to hide their before foundation skin.

  • thanks for uploading !!

  • try aveeno they are great for sensitive skin!!

  • Wow you really became red!I think you should try some other moisturizer then! I mean you get red for a reason!

  • Hey you should try clinique or lancome moisterizer beacuse its good for sensative... skin

  • Great video - I use the Clinique foundation brush (I have very dry skin so for me I think Clinique foundation is better - got the brush at the same time) which I think is pretty similar to the MAC 190.

I'm really glad you did this turorial because before now I've used your 187 foundation routine video for reference but this one is a lot more similar to mine so a lot more helpful :)

P.S. I love your Q&A in the sidebar: "Cheri, when do you choose..." HAHA talking to yourself? You full o' CRAZY! <3

  • Hey Cliniqiue is very good for sensative skin.. a lot of people break out from mac beacuse of the ingredients from it.

  • You should try a clinqiue moisturizer or something like that they have awesome products for sensetive skin

  • Clinqiue is very good for dry skin... thye have products for all skin types.

  • wsome vid.. love this vid!

    xoxo-lisa

  • so no powder to set makeup? and do u do any touchups of face during the day?

  • Are you on birth control? That seems to control my pimples and hormones.

  • You're so pretty!

  • your skin should not get that red from a moisturizer thats not good you need to change it

  • wow that's amazing :)

  • You look gorgeous in the video! I look so much worse without makeup!

    LOVED THE VID! <3

  • Honey, your skin is not happy with the moisturizer. I am also very sensitive just like you. Counters will give you samples so you can try them for sensitivity before you purchase them. Try more of a natural product with less chemicals. A dermatologist might be able to help with some suggestions. I can't see your skin up close but I had the overall redness like you do now and he was able to help me with prescriptions. You did a great job!!!

  • Great tutorial cheri and u have such a lovely voice. Do you have the 188 stippling brush for blush? if u do can u do a demo of that please?

  • Do you apply foundation every time you get out of the house? I'm just curious :P

  • wow

  • my skin gets really red too; they're so sensitive that my neck even gets red when i sprayed some perfume on it and once i land my hands on it it looked like someone choked me haha

  • sry but that made me laugh ! :D

    (K)(L)

  • despite the redness and the 'pimples' that we couldnt see from the vid, that was so not ugly enough cheri! meaning, ur pretty =] ha

  • I love that you're putting some of the ?'s people ask in the side bar. Smart idea :-) Now if people would only read it haha.

  • I get breakouts, too, during that time of the month. It's terrible.

  • Cheri, when do you choose to use the mac 190 versus the stippling method for liquid foundation?

  • I use the MAC 190 when I get bored of the MAC 187, or when I want a slightly more heavier coverage, or when my 187 is way too dirty and disgusting to touch my face. My 190 is cleaner more often than not because I rarely use it, so I stick with my 187 most of the time (as it gives a more sheer, airbrushed coverage).

  • wow! beautiful!

i think you should use lotion for sensitive skin.

  • I have super sensitive skin too so when I do anything that slightly pulls on my skin, it turns red. Too bad I'm scared of foundation.

I break out a lot during my time of the month as well. Haha.

  • I love your videos and you are indeed flawless. Thanks for sharing.
