SAAB, thank you for not falling into the same trap BMW, Mercedes and even Volvo have fallen -- over-designing and over-curving cars just for the sake of the change itself. The result? New BMW 5, Merc E, Volvo S60... all looking as if they were crashed before being shipped to the customer. The new 9-5 is stunning and it is a proof of your faithfulness to the scandinavian design minimalism. Keep up the good work!
It looks great...but how does it drive. Does it rattle and creak going down the road like the 93 ? How about the front springs...do they break after 10,000 mls or so... how about the dash..is it in that soft touch finish that peels off !! Has Saab eventually flocked the door seals and window channels to stop the rattles coming from the door area ? I'll look forward to checking it out at my local dealers.
This new model looks very cool and I like the approach Saab has towards it's interior and I hope to be driving this when I can actually buy it. You don't see too many of saab's out in the road because alot of people don't quite get the independent, yet luxurious look. There are too many mercedes' and many american luxury cars out on the road and it would be nice to see this model out on the road when it becomes available.
I have not seen enough pictures of the interior, but hopefully later on in my future I will be able to buy this model. I have never heard of Saab until my friend showed me her brand new stunning Aero convertible just last year. I would never blow my money on a luxury car that was overly flashy and hi tech, but in cars, I look for luxury, with a unique touch, but moderate in style and features.
