Dave? Dave was the lead dude. He composed a lot of the music for the whole band, even though they wrote as a whole, he came up with a lot of riffs.

In terms of band relationships, all of them loved eachother. He only left because he always wanted to be a metal guitarist, and if you listen to any of their songs, he was the heavy one with the heavy solos. Even in this song ("Maiden and Priest were the gods that we praised") They all had fun with Dave, he was never a reject.

The drummers vocals aren't terrible! If you have musical ears, you'd notice straight away, that the music is in a lower key to the recorded CD version. Probably because Derycks voice doesn't work with the music in live shows (You'd also notice the lower key with alot of their live songs)

The drummer on the other hand, may have vocals that work best with the higher key version...

Therefore his vocals are not terrible, but just don't work with this key -___-

The whole black act, the way Deryck handles the show. That was how Green Day worked and still does. It's bad enough that they only copied Green Day's fashion trend instead of the music. But they also took that signature connection Green Day and the audience have during their shows. And I would have rather had Sum 41 rip off Green Day's music than their style because on the other hand, Green Day was a closer sound to the Ramones.

Green Day are the best band live act around today, and I'm a huge Sum 41 fan, but they are wank live lmao. Anyone who disagrees, I'm sorry but not only is that opinion, but it's fact at the same time haha. I've been to 38 gigs of top acts in the last 3 years and nothing comes close to Green Day. Also, I love Underclass Hero, but there are too many comparisons/rips from American Idiot.
