This was pre-PDW. This was 1998. In 1997, ABC canceled the PBT series. The Tour was in big trouble. Pete Weber was trying to attract more viewers starting in 1998. The Tour nearly went bankrupt in 1999. In 2001 "PDW" was born.

@brgvt97 It might be before the official birth of "PDW," but given that Pete is flashing "4 Life" at the end of the match and the diamond (from pro wrestler Diamond Dallas Page's diamond cutter) I think it's safe to say that this is part of the PDW character that Pete created.

@dunnzo228 I agree, but I think that the new PBA under Steve Miller gave Pete Weber the absolute green light to TOTALLY let loose and be crude, with the crotch chop, etc. The wrestling moves started in 1998, but everything went full throttle and included crudeness beginning in 2001.
