Oooooh; what a scary foghorn! Imagine standing at the lighthouse during the night when the light is off and horn is sounding; it's a scary feeling!

@fireeater999cmcc Yes. Harbour lights sometimes have one, and St Annes in Wales has one next to it.

Has this light, ever had a diaphone fog horn, or tannoys?

I've struggled to find what was used before the electric. Maybe they used a rocket like at Beachy Head? Old photo's show no fog signal building.

Possibly. I suspect one side has severe erosion and they (the holiday home company) don't want people walking around the front or going for picnics.

Nice clear recording of the horn though, I suspect they are restricting people as they don't want to damage the ears of tourists.
