Though stationed at Dong Ba Thin, across the bay, I remember twice surfing 6 ft. surf of a mile log, along Bai Dai (Long Beach) at Ba Ngoi and the 6th Convelescent Beach (water temp 85F, air temp 106F with crystal clear water and white sand, interspersed wit an occasional WWII Japanese coastal "pill box"). I wish to go back some day.
from Baidai beach take southward for 22km then turn left at a fork road at My Thanh coconut farm and go for another 5 km eastward to Binh Tien beach, another incredible beach appear. this is the real "virgin girl" waiting some one touch. there some simple tents of local (fishing people) offer food and drink, it is still white sand, blue water and an imazing view of open sea and rocky islands.
not many tourist there even vietnamese. just some small group going on picnic on holiday.
this is the Bai Dai beach (Long beach) or Bãi Thủy Triều, it is located some 20 Km north of downtown of Camranh (Ba Ngoi), and some 7km from the fork road of My Ca town. some 4 km from the Camranh International airport, some 30 km south of Nhatrang city. This is the new local beach since northern part of Camranh peninsula opened in 1994. The beach is long, white sand, clean and shallow.
there have not been many western tourists here. the real local and good sea food.
Love your videos. You seem to have a thorough understanding of VN. Even the music you chose is appropriate for the video. Just wondering how did you do the zooming in of the globe and of Cam Ranh at the start of the video. Thanks.
....just wondering if this place could have been called "Soo Chien" by the nearby GI's & ROK's

This is Bai Dai Beach north of the Cam Ranh airport on the north peninsula. Ba Ngoi is at least 10 km south on the mainland along Ql-1

No Ba Ngoi is at the north end. The mountains on the left side of the video are too tall to be on the south side.

Is this the beach at the Navy end of the peninsula?

Đây không phải là biển Ba Ngòi mà là Bãi Dài (nằm gần cuối Cam Ranh)
