Hello, I have a newer version of Phoenix (2011 and something) and I clicked "update firmware" instead of "refurbish" and it worked. Do you think it's only a matter of different version of the program or I had to "refurbish" instead? What is the difference?

If I flash my N8 to a different product code can I still go to my provider and get them to unlock it for me? Or if they unlock it for me will flashing it re-lock it?

If you cant work out the program, you shouldn't be contemplating flashing your phone (chances are you will brick the phone)

BTW Caps lock is located between the TAB and the Shift key on the left of the keyboard :-)

I had flashed my N8 to a different language firmware(Hong Kong), my question is: Can I update through my phone if update is available? And what firmware will I get if I update through my phone?(the original English firmware? or the flashed Hong Kong updated firmware?

I was doing this procedure, but after Phoenix completes the process the cell phone goes to a white screen... so this means that my phone had bricked or i just have to wait?

@AlexLoskutov If you have any major problems with your N8 with this software you can reinstall your firmware to it's original state.

i have nokia n8. it has problem it freezes/hangs and restart automatically even when i use simple apps. i reinstalled its software but problem still persist.is it software problem of hardware. any help?
