  • it's mclovin!

  • Very interesting Dylan...

  • Hey Dylan, Meagan here.

Heard about your suspension from Jess, but this video makes it seem... deeper.

Anyways, I have always disagreed with the school's punishment and authority system. For example; wearing tank tops in school. It gets very hot in the summer and we're not allowed to wear them? For what reasons? Sexual intent and (in the case of the males) the exposing of armpit hair. What happens if we're caught wearing these shirts? Nothing... we're forced to go home and change. It's dumb.....

  • awe... you poor soul. <3 LMFAO. you're too cute.

  • i just put a virus on my schools computer network so that everyone could get on blocked sites. and i did it from my teachers account

  • Remember back when I was at school (not that long ago) we were all using the proxy servers to get passed the blocked sites, which was funny cause they got really mad and held assemblies saying you cant use these sites.

  • I think that those "no trespassing" fences are placed upon us, especially in the education sytem, just to reinforce who has authority. Sure, there are some kids in high school that need to be put in their place, but the majority of us arn't causing any harm and as long as we are doing what is asked of us, i dont understand why authority figures have to be such tyrants. Maybe they do it simply because they can.

  • They cant tell you what to bring to school... Thats stupid students are the ones who pay for the internet in the first place. Just get an iphone or an ipad 3G and watch videos from there lol

  • Back in high school, I did something similar except I used a guest account. Never got caught. The only time I did use my account for such things (b/c they deleted the guest account) was after finishing my final exam during my last year at school.

By the way, when they say "permanently" does that mean for the rest of the school year, or indefinitely? If it's just for the school year, then it shouldn't be a problem as there is only a month of school left.

  • In my opinion, I think the reason for the harsh punishment is make an example to other students about the consequences of one's actions if they do not comply with school regulations.

  • If they leave the punishment "open-ended" by being able to enforce a stricter punishment, I suppose they could have possibly cut your hands off. My advice? Always read the fine print.

  • omg, you got a three day suspension for a frickin proxy?!

you shoulda fought that ish. i'm legitimately angry for you lol are you on your last year of school?

  • hey cool specs. Im sure if someone were intentionally causing harm to the system that would be a criminal offense and passed on the authorities. just chalk it up to lesson learned.. time to move on. cool vyd.

  • thats well harsh

  • woot ratatat

  • Yep. did something similar at my school, fortunately I didn't get caught.

The reason they give you a harsh punishment is because to people who know nothing about these things, that stuff really scares them. Anyone who claims to be a hacker is likely to attract all sorts of suspicion from people who don't understand more than what the media tells us about "hackers".

People fear what they don't know, and to them you are an unknown threat, hence the punishment.

  • Take a replica shot gun into school and walk around with it, now let us see how they would react to that one. I think the school needs to balance it's resources and control students activities to some extent. The simply solution is to go 3G when you get your laptop back. Enjoy your break from school. Such a rebel dylan, just have cause :)

  • ouch, that sucks man, but yeah i do think that is a bit harsh.

  • I got 80 community hrs at the shelter house for takin some1s canoe for a joyride. I didnt cause damage to the canoe but the punishment was horrible and it was my first offence. Sucks.

  • i got in trouble for accessing my schools WiFi, and i was caught by the computer teacher at my school.... he never did anything though because he said if i was smart enough to do it, i shouldn't receive a punishment. hahaha you, sir, were not so lucky :D

  • The key question for me would be, how clearly had the school communicated the consequences of this action before you did it? If it was clear, then they are in the right. And, violating a "No trespassing" sign without doing damage can lead to prosecution. It all depends on the attitude of the property owner. Don't try it on a military site. I guess I had a charmed life with respect to electronic trespass. Everything I had already done became illegal AFTER I had done it.

  • wheni was in school we had an experiment with acetone and beakers that i thought was cool so i stole some stuff to do it at home, well when they caught me they saw i had batteries for my cd player and expelled me for attempting to make a bomb..... i know how you feel

  • never a dull moment with you haha love ur vids man

  • The same thing actualy happend to me, kinda.

i was uploading games into the schools database so everyone could access them.

the first attempt worked, but after i went back to put more in i got caught, forced to delete the games and had my account striped from the schools server. . . nothin too harsh tho.

    still had my laptop
