I can't find anything in the lyrics that would suggest it as appropriate- but it is an awesome song, which won awards for its use in the original film.

The detectives stood quiet because they don't need help arranging a jet- they wouldn't dream of giving in to such demands, and the detectives cannot believe that he wouldn't understand this, or that the old man would think they would need his jet if they needed one at all. He is not allowed to stay because he is not police, and it his bank, so it's not really a good idea for him to stay.
