when u really look at it... it didnt look like it hurt that much (although it probably did) i mean his leg didnt get hurt unless he slammed his knee and he had is hands in the way of his head... the most painful part would have been when his ribs slid down the stairs... anyways that still looked bad

Helmets can actually get in the way of your peripheral vision so you wouldn't be able to see everywhere which could cause more accidents.
