Yes i totally agree with a comment below, if you are not a breeder DO NOT mate them just for the sake of it. ive helped many rescue pets, and it's us kind natured people that take in these poor abandoned animals, because of someone else's stupidity.
Response to "Sarathekeef" regarding holding baby rabbits; if you find a WILD rabbit nest don't touch the babies. A domestic rabbit will have ABSOLUTELY *NO* reaction to you touching, holding, and checking even minutes-old babies. I have handled 100% of the baby rabbits I've had for over 27 years and NEVER had any problems with doing so. None.
@AnimalGirl328 Most likely dutch because of the pattern on the fur. I have two and they are expecting their first litter. I'm SOOO excited. ;D Dutch rabbits have an unmistakable pattern one part of color on their head till around their neck, the white patch in the middle, another patch of color on the back to rear. and it splits down the middle of the head leaving the little white patch. So cute. <3 We planned on getting mini lops but saw these ones instead and fell in love. (:
@chickenlover13100 When first born but really try not to hold them unless you have to for the first 3 days, because if you touch them to much the mother will reject them or cannibalize them.
@SarahTheKeef this is not true at all.. im a rabbit breeder and hold mine from day one.. i have never had a problem at all.. this is not true. you have to pick them up to make sure all are ok and healthy, and to pick any dead ones out that didnt make it. it also gets the kits used to people so they are not so wild once they have fur and hope around.
@SarahTheKeef the outcome is the mom takes care of them no problem.. never in my life have i ever seen a rabbit who do NOT eat meat.. kill and eat a kit. this is not true...
@SarahTheKeef im sorry but its still not true..i know MANY breeders and none have rabbits that kill or reject them.. we all hold our kits so they are tame and used to it.. nothing like a wild rabbit. and thats hundreds of rabbits.. so telling people not to touch them is not really a good thing.. you have to.. and if your rabbit kills them.. you should NOT breed that rabbit ever again.
@ShinesKitten Alright, alright, what ever you say, I've read many many books that say yes check them make sure they're alive and healthy and then just try and have to mother do the rest.
So cute and i have a rabit named Thumper and she gave birth to 4 babies 3 weeks ago they are so much cuter in person the dads name is Smokey and they look just like their dad lol
They start wandering when they are between 2-3 weeks, and shouldn't be sold before they are 8 weeks. Separate them by sex by 10 weeks or they may end up breeding with one another.
Omg!!! Sooo cuteee!!-3 I want one(: I wanna cuddle with them :3

Can you imagine why the animal shelter is full of animals?
Because of people like you who have no experience in breeding. What will you do with all these bunnys?
You can't just put 2 together, there can be many problems. It's not just "funny" or a hobby, it's a serious thing.

At what age can you hold them?
chickenlover13100 10 months ago
@chickenlover13100 From the day they are born but only if they have fallen out of the nest or somthing is wrong. So dont hold them just to hold them.

@ShinesKitten I made no objection to that. All I was informing was that you shouldn't hold them to much as newborns or else the outcome is tragic.
