Amen to that! I _hate_ the Louis/Armand pairing...it's just so very clear that Lestat and Louis are made for each other. (Seriously, I don't think there's anyone else in the world that would fit for either of them accept for each other.)

I'm a huge Armand fan, but I kinda wish they had cast him differently. Don't get me wrong, Banderes was great for the tall, dark and creepy way they portrayed him in the movie! Made him more intimidating. But I really love the contradition of Armand's innocent Botticelli beauty with his dark personality.

I though you were perhaps refering to the scene he "rapes" Lestat. Believe it, there are some people who actually hate him for that (forgetting Lestat later "raped" David). I was arguing with them at a forum the other day... Armand´s "evilness" is one of the reasons I adore him so much ^^.

Have you watched Lestat´s musical? They made poor Armand the bad guy, but the result was pretty cool.

I hated Sean, the actor from SF´s pre-Broadway run, he didn´t fit the character at all. Then he was replaced by his u/s, Drew Sarich, who is now one of my idols. He´s very good at playing "dark" characters. I don´t know if he is a fan of the books, but I certanly got the impression he knew and liked Armand a lot. One thing´s for sure, he was better than Banderas!(A good actor, but bad for the part)

About the script... Like I said, he was the bad guy, so they made a few changes... like creating a fight between him and Marius, which I hated. Also, his romance with Louis was cutted because the play is from Lestat´s point of view. These are my only complains. On the rest, he was very loyal to the books. "Evil", and desperatly needing to be loved. His mocking solo after Claudia´s death was the reason I fell in love with the play.
