That's the essence of today's remixes, it's the point of view of the person who remixes the song, but of course I get your point, cuz there are some remixes out there, that don't seem to use neither the vocals, or any instrument of the real song, only the bassline with loads of compression and distortion, so it doesn't really sound like the original track. But can't say the same about this one, they use samples from the original track and lot's of the vocal.

You've got to admit, that electronic music does loose its interest in a short time, its not like Pop or Rock music, there's always new electronic tracks, and new genres, so the tracks that we used to hear, lose their interest, turn out to be less powerful, and turn out to be a different track that you could remember! I think.. but it's not totally oldschool of course, for me oldschool is Danny Tenaglia, Octave One, Dj Rolando.. etc!
