  • What works, works. I teach screen printing and I have learned there are many ways to get good prints. Come get some Catspit~!

  • 45 min, omg, its ok, u say u make 1 screen in a year, dont need more, nice skull, cheers

  • how many watt is your bulb??

  • what is a emulsion dom you make it at home?

    or buy it somewhere?

    or ..?

  • 45 min o my, it is too long

  • how do u get that trancperency?

  • this is our family business and we do the screen contacting/exposure for only 30 seconds. ill try to post a video response as soon as i can

  • I tried doing this, and it was a disaster jajajaja. aThe worst is that I just started. I just did my screen by adding the emulsion and it was all liquid. I thought it was going to be paasty, and no it was watery. It spilled everywhere. Anyway I hope it works, right now I left it in a dark closet to dry. I just don't know how long I have to wait.

  • I was not even in my own home while i did this. I used what I had and it worked. the event was in two days. I love the comments but why don't you guys give some video responses about your technique.

  • 45 MIN!!!! i think you need to invest in a exposure unit.

  • How thick you coat the screen can reduce time also. Pressing the film down with heavy slab of glass and puting white paper under the graphic so the opposite side of the emultion cures faster when applying thick coats.

  • Thats Ulano Emulsion. Its pretty fast. But ya 45 mins is way to long but in the garage in private setup well it works. But mas production in biz well it takes me and my unit just over a minute with 110 mesh.

  • You could probably just use a faster emulsion. Perhaps one intended for projection exposures. Those are pretty fast.

  • this is being done with what i got. No $ spent! I make about 1 screen a year so I am not buying anything special for these projects.

  • wow, 45 min? use some im using som uv lams im exposing in 1 1/2 min.. i made it my self for about 120.00

  • would UV bulbs work? like the kind you use at parties?

  • after you apply the photo emolution how much time you have to way to exposure your image???

  • Fun Memories of good old times. - Jason

  • 250 wt bulb and it should be done in about 15 to 20 minutes at the most.. not 45.. thats a killer.

  • yeah but when cash is low you have to make due...uv exposure boxes are no cheaper than $400 you can build one your self for about $200 but you really have to know what you are doing and have to know exposure times to a t.. if you are going to silk screen for fun then i think its not worth it, but if you are going to do it for profit then go ahead...

  • dude did you say you were using a 145 watt bulb? just go buy a 500 watt for $7.00 at walmart and your image would be in done in 13 mins...not 45...if you any questions about silk screening dude, hit me up......

  • wait did you say you were using a 150 watt bulb???????????? 45 mins???? dude just go buy a 500 watt halogen light at walmart for $7.00 and let it set for 13 mins....works every time for me......if you have any questions about screen printing hit me up.....

  • or just get a 150 watt photoflood bulb and it will be done in 15 min

  • or get a uv lamp exposing unit and do it in 3 1/2 minutes

  • use 500 watt butt and sit on it in 13 minutes. it should do the trick.
