I think there are more to Anton preferring Ron to Lucas. To Anton, Lucas will always remind him of a time when he reacted violently to the whole gay issue, it will be like shame staring in his face all the time, naturally he prefers an alternative who is in the same profession as he is, and someone who is new in town so might not have prior knowledge of his homophobia, and even if it does come to light, Anton is sure he can be judged upon on his better behaviour and acceptance in the present...

I don't see any reason why Lucas and Edwin are a more suitable or desirable romantic pairing than Edwin and Ron. Ron in many ways is a much better prospsect than Lucas. He is sweet, independant of his family, and doesn't come with a whole bundle ot drama as is the case with Lucas. Edwin and Lucas are strikingly different personalities, and quite frankly they don;t t mesh. It's fine and fun that Lucas is tempermental and whimsical. He will eventually tire of Edwin, and Edwin of him.

He puts Lucas in the hospital for being with his son, but a guy wanting to take him to London just gets extra help in the matter?!? Anton may be more accepting of Edwin's being gay, but the writing is a bit too accepting for me, because that's just not Anton's character, IMO. He seems very much like he wants his boys near him, at least in the same country.

IMO, Edwin and Ron ( while currently having the "hots" for each other ) are really miles apart in terms of what each of them wants at this time in their lives. Edwin seems to know this. In this sense IMO Edwin and Lucas are much closer in what each of them wants at this time in their lives, having fun and perhaps not taking life too seriously. Between impetuous Lucas kissing a straight guy and overly cautious, indecisive Edwin there is some middle ground, known here as Ron. Which in a soap means that most of the time Lucas and Edwin are more interesting. I like and respect Ron, even though he's not as much fun.

Why can't people in this situation just say I'm hurt and I need time instead of trying to hurt each other and avoiding each other. I guess that's why I haven't had a relationship in a while. I just don't get these games. I was in a similar situation a few months back, and I just said "Look, my intention is for us to get past this and I think I'll do better at that on my own for a bit" He kept pushing me and not giving me space, then got mean. Obviously that ended things more quickly for me.
I think Ron is an absolute genius. Applying for this job means that he could get the dream job, but also testing Edwin to see if he is actually the one without getting hurt as badly. I hope Ron makes it out of here happy..

I enjoy the last part of this episode where Edwin getting jealous when he witness Lucas trying to pick up an attractive guy. When Lucas got turned down, Edwin is smiling about it. He was happy that Lucas didn't go with that guy. I am glad that Edwin witness that and Lucas is moving on. Edwiin was disappointed that Lucas didn't want to drink with him. What did you expected, Edwin? You broke up with him. Edwin still has lots of feelings for Lucas. Ron was just a flavor of the month.
Even though I want Ed and Lucas to get back together, it seems to me that Ed just reacted that way because he was confused about the London thing and because he was alone, after Ron had to go to the hospital.

wonderful job, Mark! I was getting anxious and restless... Great episode: you can tell that they're not done with each other. They belong together and you can tell by the way they look one to the other. Lucas is soooooo incredibly cute with his "oh-I'm-so-hurt-but-I-need-to-move-on-and-I'll-pretend-that-I'm-strong-enough" face. And Edwin doesn't look completely comfortable with Ron. You can see that he's forcing his feelings towards him!

I love this show to death! Well, at least the Ludwin storyline! The looks the two give each other at the end are so very angsty - me gusta! Oh, Lucas, you can't just up and be as bold as you were without knowing for sure if he is homo or not. When you will learn to be subtle?

Lovely last scene (esp the song), we're at part 300 and they still love each other:) The longing it Edwin's eyes was painful to watch. I want them to get together, but it's obvious Lucas is still hurt. Can't wait for the next phase when we get to watch them fall in love all over again...
I feel bad for Lucas but I kinda hope he and Edwin don't get back together. Lucas can do better than someone who would cheat on him while he was in a freakin' coma. I know they didn't know if he would wake up but if Edwin really loved him he would have waited longer than two months to kiss someone else. Also Edwin was creepy watching Lucas at the end there it was stalkerish. Plus I feel really bad for Ron he's not a bad guy and Edwin is just using him and that's not right.
@shyathena34 I think it's unfair to blame adolescent Edwin for not putting his life on hold for more than 2 months, when the prognosis for Lucas by that time was EXTREMELY DIM. I do blame Edwin, though, for using Ron the way he has. Edwin started using Ron immediately, just as soon as he and Lucas hit a rocky patch.

Why can't people in this situation just say I'm hurt and I need time instead of trying to hurt each other and avoiding each other. I guess that's why I haven't had a relationship in a while. I just don't get these games. I was in a similar situation a few months back, and I just said "Look, my intention is for us to get past this and I think I'll do better at that on my own for a bit" He kept pushing me and not giving me space, then got mean. Obviously that ended things more quickly for me.

I think Ron is an absolute genius. Applying for this job means that he could get the dream job, but also testing Edwin to see if he is actually the one without getting hurt as badly. I hope Ron makes it out of here happy..

I wanted Ed to walk out of the club if he was uncomfortable. He's not entitled to react to what Lucas is doing. Why doesnt he go have a think about why things like that cause him pain? Instead, the feelings are happily irrelevant until Ron can't go have a beer with him.

I find it bizarre that Bianca and Anton are so involved in Edwin's love life! Isn't Edwin at least 18 or something? I think it is odd that his parents won't allow Edwin to make his own decisions or at least think for himself. All of this meddling is now helping Edwin to grow into an independent adult.

It's so obvious that Lucas is stoned cold in love with Edwin despite the way he throws himself at the first attractive guy. Will we see the new guy again? Who knows? Edwin also is confused tight now, but he truly loves Lucas too. The way the air crackles at the end of this ep when they are near ech other proves that.

1.Bianca honey I love you but you´ve tried that before and it didn´t work out, so just let things progress on their on way.
2.Jeroen does not look 30, I mean that face...what a cutie !!!
3. I know he said he is not into guys, but I belive that Lucas might just have confused him a little bit...^_^
4.That chase at the end and those looks between Edwin and Lucas..c´mon guys you´re not fooling anyone...!

I enjoy the last part of this episode where Edwin getting jealous when he witness Lucas trying to pick up an attractive guy. When Lucas got turned down, Edwin is smiling about it. He was happy that Lucas didn't go with that guy. I am glad that Edwin witness that and Lucas is moving on. Edwiin was disappointed that Lucas didn't want to drink with him. What did you expected, Edwin? You broke up with him. Edwin still has lots of feelings for Lucas. Ron was just a flavor of the month.

I posted the exact same thing (in other words) in the video where Edwin could not believe how tolerant and welcoming his father was to Ron, considering he was in denial about his son's orientation for the longest time. Oh yeah. Anton would love Ron as a son in law! They are in the same profession, goal oriented, grounded, responsible.

wonderful job, Mark! I was getting anxious and restless... Great episode: you can tell that they're not done with each other. They belong together and you can tell by the way they look one to the other. Lucas is soooooo incredibly cute with his "oh-I'm-so-hurt-but-I-need-to-move-on-and-I'll-pretend-that-I'm-strong-enough" face. And Edwin doesn't look completely comfortable with Ron. You can see that he's forcing his feelings towards him!

By Soap standards it is still in the very early stages of seperation and should take a while for one or the other to really realize it, looks like Lucas is the one who needs a push, Bianca is right to try to get Lucas's mother involved, if only to plant the seed. Lovely last scene (esp the song), we're at part 300 and they still love each other:) The longing it Edwin's eyes was painful to watch. I want them to get together, but it's obvious Lucas is still hurt. Can't wait for the next phase when we get to watch them fall in love all over again...

I feel bad for Lucas but I kinda hope he and Edwin don't get back together. Lucas can do better than someone who would cheat on him while he was in a freakin' coma. I know they didn't know if he would wake up but if Edwin really loved him he would have waited longer than two months to kiss someone else. Also Edwin was creepy watching Lucas at the end there it was stalkerish. Plus I feel really bad for Ron he's not a bad guy and Edwin is just using him and that's not right.

@shyathena34 I think it's unfair to blame adolescent Edwin for not putting his life on hold for more than 2 months, when the prognosis for Lucas by that time was EXTREMELY DIM. I do blame Edwin, though, for using Ron the way he has. Edwin started using Ron immediately, just as soon as he and Lucas hit a rocky patch.

@jenn1916 I'm kind of a Ron-fan, and I think most viewers who are know that Lucas & Edwin still love each other. That's why I've always thought that Ron was going to get hurt in the end.
I agree that in this episode the show made it abundantly clear that Lucas & Edwin both wish they were together. They just have to find a way to let it happen.

@sagischare But that doesn't have to be a problem. I know a lot of couples with similar ages and they're just fine. The reason why it's probably not going to work for Ron and Edwin is not the age issue, but the Lucas issue. :)
