This actually makes me think. The law God gave to Moses goes into great detail about what is sin and what is right and wrong. Why does it not give specific details as to the wrong age, 9 of sex with a minor?

@PeaceInChristAlone even in the US age of consent laws in many states used to be age of 12. The age of consent being 18 is a phenom that is reletively new. Now, it is wrong for us as civilzed members of the 21 centrury to marry girls that young. However, the world of Muhammad was far from civilized and the live spans were very short. Thus people married young. However 6 years old is rare even for that time, but it was not uncommon. If he was a pedo then all of his wives would be kids.

The video that this responded to has been removed by YouTube for terms of service violation as well as the account being suspended. The uploader was under the idea that YouTube is somehow pro-muslim. When in fact YouTube regulary takes down videos and suspends channels from atheists, christians, muslims, and other religious points of view.

lintonio, please see 'marriage' as meaning something different to Muslims than to you. Without judging your background, I gather that you don't know many (married) Muslims. Very briefly: the ceremony itself comprises of two (major) parts: witnessed acceptance of each other, and the bride's leaving her house for the husband's. Without the latter the marriage *can not* consummate, it's like a committed friendship if you will. Many Muslims get "married" at a young age, and live together later on.
