Awesome video. I was in Salem for this game last year and had a blast. Can't wait until Saturday to see UWW-MUC Round III. Should be a good one. GO WARHAWKS!
No. MUC is a great Division III program but we are division III for a reason. However, I'm sure there are top ten DII programs MUC could hang an "L" on.
caldomealalumni, sorry your wrong. Many D3 teams have beaten D1aa teams. The info is online somewhere, last year ther was something like 30 games (approx) between D3 & D1aa, D1aa only won about 2/3 of the games. Every year UW Plattevile plays D1aa Drake for a non-conf game & wins about every third year and they are no mount union. If MU was d2 they'd win prob 75% of games and if D1aa prob 40-50%
BTW the record for DII teams vs DIII teams is the DII teams winning JUST over 50%. they only win like 55-60% Also most all d3 games vs D2 games are MUCH closer & more competitive than most DIII teams vs Mount Union. Which I think says something. If MU 'stepped up' to D2 they would only win by an avg of about 30 points instead of like 55-60+. Shouldnt a D1aa school, scholarship or not, Manhandle a D3 team?? There still D1aa right?
D1-AA that don't offer scholarships are pretty much DIII's for the fact they CANNOT OFFER SCHOLARSHIPS.
DIII's record vs DII this year is 3-7...that makes it more like a 70% winning edge for DII. Look I follow a DIII that beats a DII from time to time but DII is just a better division when it comes to talent.
Like I said...Mount could hang with the top 10 but the Mounts and Whitwaters are the exceptions to the rule.
Yes they could. They could hang with many 1aa teams (probably not app state though) and beat some of them too. Any1 who says no is misinformed. DIII UW plattevile is in the same conference as UW whitewater & playes D1aa Drake every year as a nonconference game & wins about a 3rd of them & all are competitive and UW platteville is no mount union. They r DIII 4 SOME reason, but talentwise, their d2 or d1aa.
im this is late but go mount!

The question was "upset a D1 team like App State"...not a D1 like Drake.
Drake is a I-AA NON-SCHOLARSHIP program. There is a big difference between a I-AA non-scholarship/scholarship program.
BTW...who did our DIII champion lose to this year? They lost to 4-7 DII St. Cloud State
