i would never have guessed you were a beginner sewer. you did a fantastic job. quality job. and thanks for the wonderful demonstration - equally well done.
You could just leave a small space unstitched in that section (rather than the whole side) and turn it right side out through the gap. it will make for a cleaner edge and much easier topstitching.
just sew the whole thing closed leaving a 2 inch or so opening then afterward pull it inside out then you only have a 2 inch opening to close. and you won't be fooling with the edges for 30 minutes getting it straight. very cute!
I just got a Kindle for Christmas and I don''t have any time of cover for mine. Yours is beautiful..nice job. Have to pay off Christmas for my kids before I can think to buy any type of cover for mine. TFS!!!
I can't believe you just started sewing!!! I have been sewing for years and still make mistakes so that is so fine...You did a wonderful job and no one would know you just started sewing!!! I want to start quilting now!!!! Thank you for all of your hard work sewing nor scrapbooking isn't easy but becomes easier with time!!!
Fantastic tutorial. Love the way you use scrapbooking/cardmaking products in other creative ways. Please do more sewing tutorials. You're an inspiration.

pretty i usually line u the side edge with the edge of the fabric then adjust the needle position so it sews where i want it.
i find it easier to keep straight that way
you canbuy a quarter inch foot whichworks well

Love this tutorial... Do you think a little piece of velcro could help it to not to open in case you put the clutch in on your purse?
