@C1minor1dove1 Plot(as far as iam clear on it;)) girl gets abused by stepfather, girl kills sister by accident, mother of girl dies, get gets to asylum because of depression/mental illness caused by feelings of guilt. the whole thing you see on the screen plays in the head of that girl on three levels. level one(asylum) the guilt and punishment, level two(brothel) the fight to get rid of the guilt which drives her insane, level three the overstylized fight to do so.

Honestly, the extended version of the movie makes a whole lot more sense, I would recommend watching that version instead. Really did it for me, not sure why everyone's so upset about the ending, an uncomfortable and unexpected twist perhaps, but don't you think that was ultimately the point? One of my favourites this year :)
