Additionally, compilation CD's of this and more from GW are numerous, and you can find most at the places mentioned, but "Autumn" is one of the "originals" and in my opinion, a "classic" album. If you like GW, you MIGHT (I say that with reservation) also like Brian Eno's "Plateau of Mirror" or "Music for Airports." They are technically more "ambient" than acoustic, and a little earlier ... time wise, but it's nice to see others interested in diverse music. Cheers and happy listening!

They've dropped the "records" part, obviously, since this was originally released in the early 80's. It's still "very" popular (for those who like this type of music, which I do) and GW still tours. It is available on I-Tunes, Amazon, and at GW's website, or most larger download providers in USA/Europe.

Back in 83, my mom, childhood friend and I were traveling back from vacation in her camper truck. I was resting the tape player on my lap because her old truck only had an AM radio installed. It was dark outside, windy and raining fairly hard. We were traveling along PCH hwy in So-Cal and this somber song was playing perfectly to the scene just outside the wind shield. Over 25 years later when I heard this song once again, I think of her now since her passing and am thankful.

i am a senior in high school and i was doing a school project and i was researching George Winston. the ironic thing is that i for some reason new the tune to both this album and the summer album. i was so shocked that my mom told me that she had played him when we were about 2-3 years old.

it shows you just how insperational someone and their music can be.
