The Lasting Finish is my FAVE also! Even better than Laura Mercier! I have break-out prone skin & I have no issues w/it. Also FINALLY a shade that matches great w/out turning too yellow or orange!
@andreapaigexoxo Hi, it seems no one has replied to your question, and while I'm definitely not Emily, I can give a bit of insight. I've used both foundations, and the Stay Matte works better on my combination/oily skin, but it does not fight off the oil of my t-zone as much as I hoped it would. I'm loving both Revlon Color Stay for combo/oily skin and the Loreal Infallible 18hr. If you find Color Stay too thick, a bit of water either on a sponge or brush fixes that up for me! Hope that helps!

Thanks to you I went out and bought the Stay Matte. I absolutely love it and I'm probably going to throw my other foundations in the trash. The coverage is amazing, it controls my shine, and there's no cakiness! I didn't know a foundation this good existed. :D
@just4fun2152 I have extremely oily skin. It really does last a full 12-hour 100 degree Atlanta day (I use palladio loose powder with it) and by then I usually just have a little bit of shine on my forehead and nose. I use a primer underneath it. :)

yeah,the stay matte was way blotchie,i could not blend it or build it up for my full coverage needs,and i used my fingers.It was also cold on my skin,which was odd.When i set it with my powder,my face looked really uneven and looked lighter or darker in some areas.I wore a stick concealer under my foundation,which i always do with no problem.I going with the lasting finish.
I love this foundation, i have used makeup forever hd foundation for a while, and when i tried this (b/c they had a sale at the drugtstore) i fell in love. Goes on amazing, and it actually gives me a glow!!Even though its a matte foundation, it was absolutely amazing. Will def purchase again:):)
just bought lasting finish. i found the same "400 natural beige" colour for the foundations were actually different colours when i squeezed some out? really weird. lasting finish was a lot darker which is why i bought it

I am a teenager and I have oily skin but somehow i actually don't break out that often and i don't have acne either. All foundations i have tried just sweat of my face and it really annoys me so I decided to buy rimmel lasting finish. I wore it to a party where I was sweating a lot and it stayed on perfectly. I wasn't even wearing powder! I also like it because it is inexpensive and it is easy to carry around. I may try Stay Matte but at the moment I'm really happy with rimmel lasting finish.

I have the Rimmel Lasting Finish and I like it pretty well, but my skin tends to get rather oily/shiny during the day so I'll have to try the Stay Matte.
Ive used Lasting Finish for about 2 years and Ive always loved it but I think Im ready to buy a new foundation. I find that throughout the day, Lasting Finish gets very oily around my nose and chin and so I apply a rimmel transparent powder to matte my face but it doesnt look so good :\

hey. so it is my experience that stay matte is great and lasting finish slides off your face and ages you. but i use lasting finish over a pitted scar I have. it works perfect. stay matte is great for oily skins and love it. my color is 101 porcelain. discontinued in LF so i have to bye it off ebay
I finally bought this three days ago. I love it!!! I am usually a user of high end products, but I watch u alot and trust your opinion! I went back to the store I got it at and was taking a peek at it again and all of thier Rimmel Lasting Finish was 75 percent off. I got three more of them for $1.82 a tube!! But I cant happen to wonder if they are discontinuing it??! I hope not! Have u or any others out there heard that?

@iheartmacxo I have they stay matte (using my fingers) and it is streaky and hard to blend into a smooth texture on your face... it keeps my very oily face from getting oily so that is a plus but I really wish it was smoother and liquidy-er

I'm Hispanic too (I use Mac studio fix fluid in nc40, but right now I use nc37) and after trying several shades of this foundation I found that 202 is PERFECT for my skintone! 200 has a yellow undertone, but is too light and 201 has a pink undertone. 202 it has a yellow undertone and is not too light or too dark. I hope this helps!

@xxmakeup101xx in my opinion the rimmel stay matte one actually covers dark under eye circles than any other foundation ive used. and i have SUPER DARK under eyes, and its a good foundation, you should definitely try it out:)
@xxmakeup101xx Sry being a bit late to your comment :P I just baught it and I have dark circles it covers up somewhat well but I'd still go over it with concealer if you want that really perfect face :) (to maybe help put the peices together your comment was: does the stay matte one have enough coverage to cover acne and dark under eye circles? :) )

@funkymunky77 i'm a fair-skinned irish-american and i've tried a rimmel foundation before. i don't remember the name of it, but the ivory shade was too dark. rimmel really does need to expand its foundation color palette. i do like rimmel's eye, lip, and nail products. i also like their blush.
the old packaging didnt have the soft beige color and the colours they did have sucked i couldnt match my skin tone until i tried the lasting finish which is fantastic
Do you find that the Coastral Scents Stippling Brush leaves mega amounts of hairs on your face? Seriously, my first one was really bad, so I got another one from them and it did it too! Please give me a tip (other than washing it over and over,) to make these hairs stop falling out. Thank you! btw...I love the look it gives to my make-up application.

I am fair/light and picked up 100 ivory in both products and swatched them on my hand and they are kinda orange. I hope it tones down when I wear it on my face. They were cheap though, so no harm done if they don't work for me.
Hmm...I dunno...I guess my hands and face are about the same color....But you gotta remember people usually wash hands much more than the face. I guess it depends on the person.

I use the lasting finish and I have done for about a year now. I absolutely love it! I've tried the more expensive ones but I always come back to this.
I have stayed true to my revlon foundation but the packaging on this product sold me i actually saw it teen vogue magazine and it said that it has salicylic acid in it. Im not sure. but i love this rimmel stay matte i use it everyday i do get alittle bit of shine so i use it with my E.L.F shine eraser sheets and they work hand in hang. i know rimmel has a foundation primer rather than a base one i use you should do a review on it and let me know how it works out. always curious
I love the stay matte, and the greatest thing about it is that while not making your skin oily, it still hydrates and looks fresh (most of the anti-shine foundations tend to look chalky).i use it as a bronzer, too, i have a darker shade than my skin and it's great coz it gets pinky and not carrot orange like other darker shades. Love it, love it, love it.
I tried the old type of Stay Matte and it wasn't great.. just okay. Now that the formula has changed I think I'm going to re-try it. I liked Rimmel's cool matte mouse foundation so since this is kind of like a mousse.. I'm just about convinced!

somtimes brands don't name their colors for powders and foundations the same thing... if they do- chances are you can buy the powder & foundations by the same name and they'll work for you. If not, you'll just have to use your best judgement and match to your skin :)

Hi! I've been using Mary Kay Timewise moisturizer for oily/combo skin. Its light, yet it moisturizes well. I use Olay daily facials to wash with and don't find that I have any overdrying

I have tried the Rimmel mineral powder foundation is for one, the puff thingy on top doesn't let the powder through...so I had to remove that to be able to use a kabuki brush..and second, the formula has way too much sparkles in it to be a good everyday foundation. I really didn't like it. I will have to try the stay matte, thanks for the review!
i bought lasting finish, mineral foundation (not the one that you review in this video), it comes with a puff jar in a round jar package, it was horrible. I bought it in ivory (lightest colour they had) well the colour goes on quite dark which surprised me. And the finish is more of a powder, definitely not a foundation which it claims to be "mineral foundation". I was wondering if you had used that one. I tried using it without the puff jar applicator and used my edm flattop and it hardly..

i have rimmel stay matte and love it.
i get a little oily but this controls it perfectly.
my theory is that cause makeup traps oil and dirt and clogs pores, and this doesnt get my face oily, it works for me :)
i havent tried the lasting finish but i do love their color selection (im ivory/fair/lightbeige but not sandy and true ivor 103 is great

I'm Hispanic too (I use Mac studio fix fluid in nc40, but right now I use nc37) and after trying several shades of this foundation I found that 202 is PERFECT for my skintone! 200 has a yellow undertone, but is too light and 201 has a pink undertone. 202 it has a yellow undertone and is not too light or too dark. @xxmakeup101xx in my opinion the rimmel stay matte one actually covers dark under eye circles than any other foundation ive used. and i have SUPER DARK under eyes, and its a good foundation, you should definitely try it out:)

@funkymunky778 at my drugstore they had darker shades for the lasting finish but not the stay matte, I know it sucks i'm medium skin toned and they didn't have the right shade for me in stay matte

@funkymunky77 i'm a fair-skinned irish-american and i've tried a rimmel foundation before. i don't remember the name of it, but the ivory shade was too dark. rimmel really does need to expand its foundation color palette. i do like rimmel's eye, lip, and nail products. i also like their blush.

the old packaging didnt have the soft beige color and the colours they did have sucked i couldnt match my skin tone until i tried the lasting finish which is fantastic

Do you find that the Coastral Scents Stippling Brush leaves mega amounts of hairs on your face? Seriously, my first one was really bad, so I got another one from them and it did it too! Please give me a tip (other than washing it over and over,) to make these hairs stop falling out. Thank you! btw...I love the look it gives to my make-up application.

anyone find that these foundation run orange?
I am fair/light and picked up 100 ivory in both products and swatched them on my hand and they are kinda orange. I hope it tones down when I wear it on my face. They were cheap though, so no harm done if they don't work for me.

I have stayed true to my revlon foundation but the packaging on this product sold me i actually saw it teen vogue magazine and it said that it has salicylic acid in it. Im not sure. but i love this rimmel stay matte i use it everyday i do get alittle bit of shine so i use it with my E.L.F shine eraser sheets and they work hand in hang. i know rimmel has a foundation primer rather than a base one i use you should do a review on it and let me know how it works out. always curious

I love the stay matte, and the greatest thing about it is that while not making your skin oily, it still hydrates and looks fresh (most of the anti-shine foundations tend to look chalky).i use it as a bronzer, too, i have a darker shade than my skin and it's great coz it gets pinky and not carrot orange like other darker shades. Love it, love it, love it.

I tried the old type of Stay Matte and it wasn't great.. just okay. Now that the formula has changed I think I'm going to re-try it. I liked Rimmel's cool matte mouse foundation so since this is kind of like a mousse.. I'm just about convinced!

I have extremely oily skin, and mild acne, always.
I have been using bare minerals for like ever because I am only 16 and I don't want to look too fake, but I am embarressed by my natural skin because I have acne scarring all over!
I want to try liquid but it makes me nervous. Haha I am being silly but it just seems too different for me, idk.

somtimes brands don't name their colors for powders and foundations the same thing... if they do- chances are you can buy the powder & foundations by the same name and they'll work for you. If not, you'll just have to use your best judgement and match to your skin :)

Hi! I've been using Mary Kay Timewise moisturizer for oily/combo skin. Its light, yet it moisturizes well. I use Olay daily facials to wash with and don't find that I have any overdrying

I use Rimmel London Renew and Lift Foundation. Its ok i guess but i really want to try RIMMEL LASTING FINISH FOUNDATION or the rimmel london stay Matte Foundation.

Lasting Finish is pretty good but use it with a foundation brush, but I prefer Stay Matte.
Sometimes it (lasting finish) can look a bit shiny so don't use it if you have oily skin.

I bought the Rimmel Lasting Finish based on your earlier recommendations and I love it! It completely covers my sun damaged skin at the top of my forehead without being cakey. I lightly dust with the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder and it hasn't dried out my skin either. Great products and terrific reviews from you! Thanks very much!

I have tried the Rimmel mineral powder foundation is for one, the puff thingy on top doesn't let the powder through...so I had to remove that to be able to use a kabuki brush..and second, the formula has way too much sparkles in it to be a good everyday foundation. I really didn't like it. I will have to try the stay matte, thanks for the review!

i bought lasting finish, mineral foundation (not the one that you review in this video), it comes with a puff jar in a round jar package, it was horrible. I bought it in ivory (lightest colour they had) well the colour goes on quite dark which surprised me. And the finish is more of a powder, definitely not a foundation which it claims to be "mineral foundation". I was wondering if you had used that one. I tried using it without the puff jar applicator and used my edm flattop and it hardly..
