excuse me... i think IT IS NOT 48volt.................... it uses 3 battery.... each batteru is 12 volt. so 36 v total. why did you say 48v?  .....did your raycool use 4 batteries ?

nice scooter i got the 800watt 48v and its so much fun does 26mph on a flat smooth surface

@beamo32 You must be very skinny or small if you get 26mph from 800w. For an adult the top speed is about 12 mph.

@JasonDolan Lol, I've got the 700 watt XP-700 pocket bike, I'm 5'10 175lbs and it'll get to 20mph(max gearing because of legal limits at the time) fast enough that it makes me a bit uncomfortable, on 36 volts. But it depends on the motor type, and the amperage going to the motor.

@5PYZ3R Good my friend, 20mph is great and I bet it feels faster! This is all you need to get to A to B. It's better and faster than walking for sure. The only thing is these scooters are not waterproof. If it rains when you are out the rain will ruin the controller and motor, maybe short the batteries too if a heavy shower. They are more a spring/summer bike. I love my 800W, but the weather rules sadly. So most of the time I use the car or motorcycle.

@JasonDolan Yeah, that's true. But it is possible to waterproof your electronics if you want to be dedicated. I know on 1/8th scale RC trucks, I used to take apart servos and hit them with spray-on rubber, then put it back together and wrap everything with a balloon. ESC's too. Then you just need waterproof connectors. Most motors are waterproof anyways. Or alternatively you can just stick your components in plastic boxes or something. Just takes some work and reading.
