  • He have the stil from Buddy Rich, is amazing.

    Greets Bonzo

  • Poor snare drum.

  • It'sok, but the thing with metal is it's soul lies in the double bass rolls. A constant roll doesn't constitute metal. Metal is extremely intricate, yet most often requires whatever energy you had. Also, continually alternating only toms would better portray metal, but such a roaring snare roll is more of a marching band thing. Bluntly, I find it rather insulting, as a metal drummer and jazz, that one would believe such mindless beating to be metal. Granted, two great parents ca have freak kids.

  • more like drumline meets drumset

  • Dude you should be in a band or something....

  • Nice work. I use more single strokes in my clips on here but you have a unique approach to those double strokes. Excellent!

  • seems like rat salad's drum solo

  • @tugzemolalro I was thinking he same thing

  • @cast390

  • I've sen almost all your videos you're amazing!!!! love the improvised style you have..and btw I like how your set sounds..very vintage..kinda 60's...wich set do you use?

  • ur music style is as old as ur ass xD but respect ofcours... it doesnt sounds bad at all... and ur strokes where good.

  • Very Buddy Rich. I like. I need to learn how to better myself on my right when it comes to playing traditional. I only just a couple months ago discovered jazz, thank you, Dave Weckl. That opened my eyes to more then rock. I then discovered Jojo Maer. Since ten I've been trying my hand at traditional. I've gotten much better then before, when I was just about making noise. I feel I'm ok at traditional. But my darn right hand. You've any tips for me? (open comment to all as well) d:)

  • Amazing man!

  • Buddy would be proud...

  • Beyond Awesome DUde

  • he was imagin a metal guitar thats why he said it was metal xD.... nice solo...

  • Very nice solo, but I don't understand how jazz and metal can meet if there's no metal...

  • Megadeth dude, in their first two albums

  • :O the beast

  • More Jazz than metal. I do like the Joey Jordison snare (even though I'm a jazz man). Snare drum focus is very Kruper-esque. Add more jazz, take away some metal and you have winner.

  • Contradiction Police

  • To much snare

    1/5

  • Great drumming, straight from the heart.

  • damm i feel sorry for your snare you hit that thing fast

  • jazz owns everything

  • i guess you hitting the floor toms really hard is the metla part lol. but that was a sweet solo dude. your snare sounds amazing and it looks like its a 6.5? you usually dont get that kid of crack out of snares that deep

  • Are you from North Carolina by any chance.

  • ironman is alive?

  • You're the best drummer on youtube.

  • gatdamn! this is so john bonham

  • if you can say anything nice....BR's crack baby.

  • Muy bien compañero de mundo, valla solo, el sentimiento !

  • Where is the metal???!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i think from 1:24 to 1:30 it's a blast beat? and 2:23 to 2:30 he's just gone crazy. i'm not sure thought, but is a powerful solo.

  • no blasting at all...

  • man that was so cool im working on some crazy jazz chops.. its takes forever! i loved your spirit playing to =]

  • I liked your drum solo. You put some work into it. Not bad. Jack Rudolph

  • sweet !! makes me want to practice

  • YES!!!

OMG This is amazing.....it would be flawless if there were dynamics within the solo....

  • Man i broke a sweat just watching this!

  • Oh shit! Im a drummer too, but i almost got an orgasm when watching this... Keep it up... You are amazing... Are you in any band? Cos i thkink you should

  • I got 2 questions for ya... Have you ever tried tilting the snare down away from you how many traditional grip players reccommend? Are you into JoJo Mayer's work? BTW, you are amazingly sound in all aspects of drumming!

    Jeff

  • Thanks for the complement. The tilt of the snare is based on ones drumming technique.I set my snare left end slightly up with the back side slightly down to get a jazz rock feel.Yes I dig JoJo Mayers playing.

  • Metal meets Jazz? How about, chops and talent meets drums! Very nicely done. It's so refreshing to see someone who actually does more stickwork than footwork! 5 stars.

  • i think over all this was a really cool drum solo

  • man some really nice snare actions man!

  • i cant even explain how amazing that was

  • Amazing chops man, and traditional grip too you are amazing.

  • nice dude

  • SHIT
