  • neat!

  • @TheDynastyFox Thanks.

  • Build This Simple Robot in 5 Minutes or Less!

    Total miss statement.

  • wat r the things u need can u list them to me plaz

  • @hectorthefirst There is a link to CwhatIcanDo, in the text right on You Tube, there you get schematics, parts list, starter software... Have fun

  • @CwhatIcanDoProjects yea i checked already thx and nice robot

  • and welcome to the canadian! i am ons as well dont take offence.

  • hi there mr. can you please share with me your schematics and the materials you used. please sir, me and my classmates need to do a project. here is my email: glenn_boy13@yahoo.com or you can just reply here in your video. thanks T_T

  • @glennposadas01 There is a link to CwhatIcanDo, in the text right on You Tube, there you get schematics, parts list, starter software... Have fun

  • Great stuff. The music however is kind of funeralish. I feel like my end is coming while watching the vid.

  • I confess, I used a free music link. I think this is one that comes with a new XP or something, as a sample sound.

Good news... It will get better. We are going to use some new music fully permissioned by the author. I hope it's on the next new video :-) Tnx!

  • first i like the way u reply for ever comment, not a lot of ppl do that! Secondly the word "simple" dosen't suit this... i do not understand.. i'm trying to understand the concept of robots to join the FRC first robotics competition. do you know where i can learn the basic concepts of the motors and sensors... and how do u connect the whole thing, (with glue??)

  • CwhatIcanDo website shows basics of all robots. Start there, read an article about building a robot that YOU LIKE... Then start google searching for each element of the robot (from the article) which you do not understand.

The next thing you know, you will be SMART about robots. There are many different names but basically robots are very very simple at the core.

I am certain you can learn enough. Also visit the popular vendor sites you see when you visit robot sites. HAVE FUN!

  • @sahiti321 well im not a robotics xpert but u do put the whole thing 2gether w glue and sodering it

  • @sahiti321 learn to soldir for wires =) (i am a starter in robotics im 15 and ima gonna try to make this with my dad! i cant wait gonna price the supplys today.)

  • What is the song ? it is verry nice !

  • It's a free loop (probably DrLoops)

  • about how much money would i need?!

  • Parts list is on CwhatIcanDo website!!! (and further down these comments too.)

  • I made a bot, then it decided to kill me and my family, AHH ITS COMING NOW!

  • My condolences...

  • my bot wears my underwear

  • you should redo it with a go along video of the process and show how you make it

  • I hear ya... I just put the URL to the project in the INFO box on the upper right of this page. Click for construction details, parts list, etc..

  • cool

  • Do we need to program the controler board before we atach the wires?

  • Negative. Without program, it will do nothing harmful (at least I've never had such a thing happen and I've played a lot with this configuration. It will be boring, but you won't "hurt" anything. Be sure to share video of your creation...

  • Well, i have followed the Sematics and still i can find a way for it to work properly.

  • Comment removed

  • and i dont have to buy a USB progrmaing cord to make it work and detect walls?

Also with the IR detector, do we need to attach three wires to the picAxe controller board?

  • This is attempt 3 to answer: Rev-Ed is company in UK. Originators of picAxe, they have free software and plans to make your own serial programming cable. Don't have to buy anything else.

  • Cwhat I can Do has a another project: picAxe 8 bit motor controller Look Inside... In the last step are a bunch of URLs, Visit Rev-Ed often, that's where all the free software and the whole picAxe concept was born. They also have hardware tricks like creating your own download cable..

  • You can just solder to the pin mounting points on the little PC board. NO JST needed. Just three small wires soldered directly to the solder pads bypassing the JST...

  • thanks

  • Pls video your "bot" and put it on YouTube if you can. I'd love to see your version... And, you're welcome. I hope your questions helped others... Tnx

  • I have one more question

Do I need two Infrared Sensor Jumper Wire - 3-Pin JST?

    because iI only have one

  • How did you learn how to do all this?

I really want to build stuff like this but i dont know how.

also, where did you get all that stuff from?

  • What's more important is how YOU can learn all this stuff! You can visit CwhatIcanDo and a long list of robot sites start by looking up robots on search engine and then let your interests draw you deeper in. You'll find a robot that will make you want to build one like it and you will be off and running!

  • Thanks, I went to a local science store and found the supplies i needed to make my own robot.

But i still need to go onto CwhaticanDo to buy a sensor and a PicAxe drive controller.

  • Now yer talkin! I am very happy for you. I hope you have so much fun by all this you decide to get involved with robotics. I hope you get to at least half as much fun as I'm having.

And by all means, put your "version" on YouTube and CwhatIcanDo, This lets others break the barriers that keep them from making the "plunge" into Robo-World. Share share share and thanks to you and others who learn by doing...

  • Nice, how much did this cost all together?

  • 2 - GearDrive Motors $5.75 ea

    2 - Wheels (D ring, fits the geardrive) 2/$5.00

    1 - 4 X AA battery pack $2.00

1 - IR Detector (could make it yourself) $13.95

    1 - 12 " or so of #12 wire (makes dragger) $.05

    1 - Motor Driver Board $15.95

    1 - Power on/off switch $.025

    Batteries not included ...

  • Around $43, not that bad! I got some rechargeable batteries. So I'm good on that. Where did you usually buy the supplies?

  • Click to the parts on C What I Can Do

  • I went to CWhatICanDo, and there's nothing on it...

  • That is sooo embarrassing!! Try again. The website just moved this very afternoon and I missed that extra file! Thanks for catching that problem...

  • Lol, i'll try it again.

  • wher do you get the materials where they are inwhat products

  • C What I Can Do has parts list and vendors.

  • This is kewel, if I do say so myself. Just thought I'd add, that you have to cut and paste the program into the picAxe BASIC compiler to get finished in 5 minutes...
