After having seen my country elect a SNEAK for Prime Minister, I STILL gladly listen to "O Canada!" HOME SOIL GOLD ON THE ICE!
If your American, you're election vindicated you... (No one calls Obama an idiot...just an evil corrupt socialist demon, so I assume you mean the brush clearer or are from another nation with a politically important president)
I agree that Obama is, as you say a socialist demon, the good ol' USA shot herself in the foot on election night Nov 7, 2008; and, yes, I was very disgusted to see Obama win what I call a "rigged" election.
He did not win based on merit, he won because the media wanted to see America make history, for the wrong reasons. But, I do respect Canadians and have some Canadian friends!.
@1LordStanley - Too bad you didn't post that after 2000 in Florida (halted recount) or 2004 in OH, where a representative of the manufacturer of Ohio's electronic voting machines GUARANTEED a Bush victory in OH at a GOP fundraiser. Fishy?
The idiot we elected served from 1/20/2001 to 1/20/2009. Historians consider him as one of the all-time worst U.S. presidents.
At least Obama, who will go down in history as one of the greats, won fair & square! No controversy surrounded his election.
Obama only won the election because of his skin color. Obama has done NOTHING to help this country since he took office. A "real" commander-in-chief would have some military experience, Obama has NONE and NEVER served, I would have voted for Colin Powell, at least he WORE our country's colors. But, like I have mentioned before, our stupid news media wanted to see history in the making and got it! I'm glad I retired the from the military. I pity those who serve now!
@1LordStanley - The U.S. constitution clearly placed civilian power above the military, in order to prevent the military from taking power as has happened in many banana republics.
No president from 1909-45 had any military experience (Taft to FDR), although FDR was Assistant Secretary of the Navy under Woodrow Wilson.
I also may have voted for Powell as well, depending on his opposition. I am a former MWR civilian employee of the U.S. Navy near Philadelphia.
Beautifully played - I love playing this song myself and live only a few miles from the Canadian border so I am asked to play it often. Nice Organ there too !
This is very well played. Thank you for posting the video. God Bless Canada and God Save the Queen!

Conservatives are who are trying to make us merge with USA... -___-) This is why we go for Liberals to make Canada to be Canada, and not be USA Jr.

They are not trying to do that....

Are you sure it's not a few "klicks" from the border? ;-)
Definitely a nice job on the organ for both of you - I've seen both of your videos.

Regarding the words, that's okay. It's sung differently throughout the country.
In Montreal, the first half's in French and the rest is in English. The rest of Quebec sings it entirely in French.
In Ottawa, the second quarter's in French and the rest is in English. In the rest of Ontario, it's entirely in English.
Depending on where you are in New Brunswick, it's either the Montreal version or the Ottawa version.
As for the rest of Canada, it's pretty much entirely in English.
