Thanx man, means alot comin from you. Hard for me to pick a fav' Croce song...it varies on my mood, but this one has always been on the short list. I wonder what new stuff they were working on at the time of the crash as well. Seems that he and Maury had just started a roll. I don't know if the genre died also or they were just SO brilliant, that nobody has even come close to that sound, feel, or of quality stories. Jim is my acoustic favorite artist. I have a couple other covers in my playlist

Love this JC tune you played here, nice playing and singing. I hate it when a finger slips off a string, damn......

I have a Jim groce music book and I find his stuff wonderful to listen to, just never had the dexterity to play his stuff, his book uses some really difficult chords.

I've bought every Croce songbook I ever found, hate to tell you they weren't much help except with lyrics, I don't read tab, and most online chords are wrong or too simplified. Once I began focusing on Jims picking patterns, his songs started coming together for me. Try that..you've got the skills to handle his music. Let me know if I can help.
