It's the Captain Howdy face. Captain Howdy is the name Regan gave Pazuzu from the spiritual board thing believing him to be a special friend. But we later find out in the film what she's messing with. It always kinda flashed real quickly in the original. It's also in Dominion, but it's not as creepy in that. It's always freaky to me in this and the original though. Just the way it comes out so unexpectedly and fast. That's why I love this film. Brought back alot of familiar horrors.

the influencce of pazuzu over the natives its so incredible that once his sacred tomb,. the curh was uncovered, horrible things happen to the natives, was more horrible than having your child being born dead and filled with maggots
