RIP Whitney. I will always love you. No more criticism...God has welcomed you home with open arms. You were on loan to us...the critics never realized that.
GIVE WHITNEY TIME, SHE HASN'T PERFORMED IN DECADES, THIS IS HER FIRST TIME STEPPING OUT. HER VOCAL FOLD WILL GET USE TO THE VIGOROUS EXERCISES OF PERFORMING A CONCERT ONCE AGAIN. SHE WILL BE BACK 'VOCALLY' BY THE END OF THIS YEAR. JUST KEEP IN MIND THAT PERFORMING CONCERTS ARE VERY TIRING, SHE IS DOING GREAT CONSIDERING HER CIRCUMSTANCES.
Whitney has always had a beautiful voice. Before I couldn't listen to Whitney singing for very long because her voice was so loud and strong. I like that her singing is softened. She needs to work on singing more in tune, but I will be you that as time goes along - she'll improve or even get better then before. Whitney will do just fine.
As someone who is not a professional singer, but sing in church, I know how difficult it is to sing outside in the elements when you have breathing problems. She has just returned and is not ready to just "step in where she left off". True, her voice is not the same, but she still can sing, maybe not like she did before...but she can sing. WELCOME BACK WHITNEY!!! I love this song...
being a professional singer, I can tell you that there could be so many different reasons for her not sounding 100%. #1, she's actually singing live, not to track so you'll hear every little imperfection, Plus she's not using in ear monitors which means she may not hear herself perfectly, and that can lead to singing a little off pitch. just my 2 cents. She'll be back again, you'll see.
whitney still has it her voice was just over worked and especially since she had just did the oprah interview i believe with rest she will should even better @ least she did not cancel the concert and she did not lip sync she gave it all she got and for that I will Always Love Whitney Just Give Whitney A Chance She Has Been Through Hell And Back
Her vocal chords sound really strained and dry. She almost is unable to keep a consistent tone & pitch. Maybe she was a little nervous or dehydrated singin outside?
She was one of my biggest inspirations back in the day! Smoking, drinking kills the chords!
@MUSICSOULCHICK shes getting better yeah this concert was a bit different but listen to a manchester one much better, she can hold the notes much longer.

If you're going to be a Whitney advocate, learn to spell her name. Not a poem, just real talk..
