I prefer to buy Panasonic SDR-H40 camera that can record on the hardrive and SD HC, has only a 42x zoom, but has a larger sensor size (1 / 6 ") so the video is better. SDR-S26 has a small sensor size (1 / 8 ")
I own one of its predecessors - the SDR-S7 - and even w/o this mega zoom it's a great little cam. It is so tiny, you can carry it always and everywhere. When you're shooting around no one even notice it.
Its perfect for the Centry MKII or a more price effective Opteka MKII knockoff, thats why i bought the cam.
On the downside i can't figure out how to edit it with movie maker, because it doesn't support the format. I guess i'll have to download a program to convert the format. Also the lowlight is horrible on it. I'd give it a solid 7.5/10 because of the image quality.
Definitely something is very dirty here, whether it's the lens or the window, but you can see all the black grains at 1:08-1:11. So that would affect things for sure.
are you kidding me not too sharp. look how far you are zooming out and the picture looks pretty darn good, most camera you can't even get that close before the picture get all unstable and grainy.
both of them. Lens are not so sharp, as it's supposed to be with such a zoom! Furthermore there is an optical stabilization system that get things even worse.

Thanks, Do you know of any fish eye lenses which are pretty cheap for it, thanks for your help
Cursley94 2 years ago
Nope. But I bought a fish eye for my Canon G7. It's called Kenko KDV-0252. This is - by far - the crappiest produced I've ever purchased.

If you look as he zooms out, he's filming behind a window and the window is filthy.

Yea, that looks like it was filmed through a window, if you look carefully at the beginning you can see vague reflections of the inside of the room.

Is it maybe that this video is filmed through
closed (dirty glass) window?
