por favor amigos, inside is not that boeing can propose but this bird was constructed to meet soviet needs - ie just to sit and wait. but surely many russkies would try this instead of taking train of 3rd class travelling from Moscow to Irkitsk (trip takes 3-4 days without a shower)....
I was looking back at earlier comments and someone said this flight is departing from Buenos Aires, Argentina going to Cayo Coco, Cuba. A 9 hour flight. Yikes! You don't get your own tv monitor, there's condensation from the A/C vents and those high ceilings. I couldn't do it. I'd have to fly another airline.
@mxyyp Thats nothing. In few months I will travel to Cuba for holiday with Finnair 757 that is in full tight economy charter configuration and is really meant for european charter flights only. No personal IFE of course. Flight takes about 12 hours or something with landing in Canada for fuel.
Mi abuelo me dice que cuando viajo a Cuba por primera vez viajo en un avion ruso y dice que el sistema de enfriamiento es diferente. Dice que hubo un momento donde no se podia ver a la persona del lado. :)
I have flown to Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Italy , Mexico and Holland from USA and I have NEVER seeing that condensation, this plane has go to be about 80 years old
@acdekl1 that plane is about 4 or 5 years old, and when it's hot outside condensation does happend, i've seen it on A320s in Barcelona and American Airlines 737 in Miami
@acdekl1 It's a temperature difference thing. I saw the exact effect on a fairly new Airbus 320 while on the tarmac in Costa Rica. There was just as much condensation coming out of the AC vents there.
@ie210 yes, you are right - it is one of two Il-96 which were sold to Cuba -look at the inscriotions on the seats- it is written "Cubana", I noticed right now after I got your response, thanks
Hello dear Venclmag2007,how is the flying experience in this plane when compared to a Boeing or an Airbus?I heard that Il 96 300 is quite a safe plane.
nemlou - I have seen this on Boeing 747s @ Hong Kong - I've actually got soaked with water running down the over-head bins as the plane excelerates down the runway...!

The guy in the gray t-shirt walking down the aisle is hot. Where is this flight going? Wish I was on it, but I'd say a prayer before take-off. :-)

@acdekl1 wow!!! you"re narrow minded. Like everyone else has commented, that happens in the HUMID tropics. No, the IL96 is a virtually new aircraft.

why we do not see this phenomenon of condensation on the Boeing?
nemlou 1 year ago
@nemlou Cuz' you dont live in a country with high temps, may be?
I travel at least twice a year via Continental or Copa Airlines, and I do see that condensation phenomenon....
Continental and Copa only use Boing equipment, either 757 or 737.

You do if you fly to hot and humid climates. No, Arizona does not count. Its not humid there.
