You see, every single video featuring Feynman goes with at least one video recomendation of a girl with a VERY generous cleavage. He didn't need that, but I think it's another evidence of how great this man was. Also a good tribute he would surely approve.
Richard Feynman, Carl Sagan, and Alan Watts are some of the most insightful men in the not so very recent history. The death of these men and the birth of cable TV. have really been wiping out the free thinker in this country. Seeing the number of views on this vid and others vids featuring this wise men have given me hope.
Planning to goto Tuva for 5+ years only to get the invitation 2 days after Richard's death. If this does not try to jerk some tears then well... oh well.
My goodness I love this man. Also, I must say I rather enjoy the calm and well-thought out arguments about God and religion on these physics related videos, as opposed to the antagonistic shouting matches I see on most creation/theism related videos.
I guess I'm an agnostic but have no problem with religion. One thing I don't understand about many atheists is why they are so concerned about religion. I think it is fine If you don't believe but I also believe it is fine if you do.
@MrMedicinebox I don't suspect atheists take issue with one's right to indulge in whatever beliefs they might dream up, rather it's the application of those beliefs that concern them. Religion, for example, is most typically a system that deals in absolutes outlined by entirely presumed entities. Invariably these are represented by self-appointed authorities with claims to esoteric wisdom, who purposefully encourage ignorance (ie, faith). History evinces ignorance+power=dangerous.
I am grateful to live in an era when we have means to record images and sounds, because it allows us to keep a little piece of Mr. Feynman, even if he’s no longer with us. Humanity misses you, Mr. Feynman.
18.43...those clouds produced by those big trucks, pure oily tar, if you passed through it you would need 10 showers before you could convince someone that you are a white male.
I saw the "if that ending doesn't make your eyes watery then you're a robot" and I laughed it off, bah, pretentious noob. Then I saw the choke at 50:40 and damn. Here I am, all watery. I guess even us robots get sentimental every now and then.
Now, Ralph Leighton, Y U NO give Mr. Feynman orange juice ???
Richard Feynman was not wedded to any ideology, but was only interested in finding the truth. Amen to that. This is not a characteristic of most in the scientific community today, unfortunately.
@dkeota As a member of the scientific community, I have to disagree entirely with you on this. It makes little sense to seek untruths in science as Nature cannot be fooled. If you are, however, making a tangential comment about climate change, remember that all that you read and hear is filtered through the press, often by journalists with all of the scientific knowledge of a carrot. And trust when I say that a lot of crap gets written in the press; and not just about science, either.
I wish i could have known about him, when i was a young man.......Feynman is a wonderful human being. and i agree practicaly with everything he thinks.
Thank you so much for posting this. I've been looking for it for a long time. With this episode of Nova, Feynman became one of my heros and inspirations and remains so until today. Thanks again for uploading the whole documentary with good resolution.
