Other than the fact your fighting strogg, It seems no different from other military style shooting games that are around. This = call of duty pretty much. I miss the old days of wandering around strogg factories and bases blasting bad guys to kickass industrial metal music.

Quake Wars is based on earlier Splash Damage game called Wolfenstein Enemy Territory which is based on Return to castle Wolfenstein multiplayer game which was already class based ww2 themed game and do you know what game came 1 year later after Rtcw which was also class based ww2 game?

it's quake. not even one battlefielde game today use quake wars sandbox gameplay. game is pretty complex and hard, thats why most of the players awoids it. but those who like to play as a teamplayer, adore the game.

I have it on 360 and haven't played the PC version yet, but let me tell you I'm enjoying it (I bought the game 2 weeks ago). It's clear that ID really wanted to try something different yet at the same be akin to their niche-- that is being a first person shooter that isn't just about killing everybody who stands in your way, but being able to assimilate and play different roles, from soldier to medic... It takes a while to get used to the radically different play mechanics, but it's worth it!

This game is OK, it has A LOT of flaws. The strogg have huge advantages over the humans, they never have to reload, they can convert ammo to hp and vice versa, the strogg have a pistol with unlimited ammo in addition to a mele weapon, srogg really only have to worry about not having to overheat their guns. Human players get little ammo but their guns are a little more powerful, there is a class that can bring down supply crates though. The strogg are overpowered in this game.

@gta4assasin this game is forcing you to do teamwork without you noticing really like. Cover ops places radar and it shows all player the enemy team, enemy disables the radar and engineer has to fix it to get exp and new guns, and helps the team by getting the vision back.

Imo, this is the best on-line game ever. It's got great graphics, fast game-play, and each battle is entirely different. Moreover, the Strogg/Human Quake storyline is one of the best ever.
