Ya know, maybe I'll find some old computer power supplies, and make homemade boomboxes with them. Maybe I could use the shell of an old computer as a car radio and speaker housing.
I've never thought about doing this until I saw this video. I have a couple of head units that were quality pieces back in their day, just lying around. Pulled out my spare power supply and viola. After over 14 years, my old Alpine still sparkles... as well as my newer Clarion. Thanks for the great idea man!
@02tnewton RCA is a very low voltage low amperage, audio video cable. No way itll ever make your stereo go up in smoke, unless you that the other end connected to a car battery?
hi, i followed this instructions and everything is nice. But when i turn the radio to aux mode in order to use the speakers through, the sound cames very low and with static.
you did not specify which wire from radio are you connecting to the green and balck pin on the pc with multiple pins. show it before you tape it dude.
and dont tell too much irrelevant info its to confusing such as detials about radio
its basic radio to hook up with pc power supply thats it.
Okay i got a 1000w mono d kenwood amp a 12" mtx audio jackhammer thats 500w max and some 6x9's this will be going to a 250v power supply and battery will this work great??
Thank you!!!! it helped a lot how many stereos can I hook to a power supply? mine says it outputs 20 amp I'm trying to build a retail display for my business
ya but for that ur goin to need a strong power supply or like a battery or smething, they do make home amplifiers u can plug into the wall then connect rca from the radio to the wall amp, then to ur speakers
