The main reason for the red filter, aside from not intensely blinding friends/family, is most mammals(not all) have dichromatic vision. Meaning they cannot differentiate RED/Orange hues of the color spectrum from Blue, Green and Yellow. Monkey's are an exception.
Thanks for the little "hey you can do this with it too" tips, some of them I know, Some of them I don't...but it's always nice to know when you shoot a video about a product that I just might learn something. Need a couple more headlamps so will be purchasing these. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

I dont think forehead lights a practical- they tend to wable around when ur moving ur head
