Let's remember, you're watching "Streets" performed at the opening concert for this tour which is almost a dress rehearsal. U2 was probably just glad they didn't fk up the timing playing this song in a new stage of such magnitude. This will get better and better as tour progresses. It is still amazing though!

i think the best performance of this song was during the elevation tour the light show was fucking amazing the setup of the light show matched perfectly with the rythm and structure of the song

I couldnt agree with you more - Elevation Tour was actually my favorite tour - it was perfect - it wasnt elaborate & was very personal but had bags of energy aswell - especially for songs like "Streets" where the flood lights burst with the beat - orgasmic & the Elevation performance of "The Fly" was superb:)

certain songs refuse to die and this is one of them...let's face it, as U2's songbook grows their shows just have to get longer...there are so many older songs that complement the new ones and remind us loyal true fans of the band's musical progession...what would be cool to see/hear is maybe a re-tooled version of some songs...throw in some more percussion, a string section maybe, definitely more piano on some songs...just a thought :)

I don't think they'll ever retire it. Bono has said it has turned many less than stellar shows around and its Larry's favorite. Have a feeling that Larry insists on it being played every night. I can't tell here but he often seems actually happy playing it, especially at the beginning.
