@TheOJDrinker Most specialized equipment for disabled persons is egregiously overpriced. A good wheelchair can run over $10k. The reason is because in general, insurance and disability covers 90-100% of costs - so the companies charge 10x more because insurance has to pay (and their total market is about 1% of the population. However, for some "non-essential" items (like this cushion) aren't covered under his plan - so he needs to raise money to afford a bit more comfort.
@TheOJDrinker To add to what blackjackjester said, it's most often custom made to suit, by trained professionals. You can't automate it, you can't mass produce it, it's a custom, bespoke cushion. Kinda like how hearing aids never get cheaper.

People get the right treatment, private companies can't rob them of medicine and equipment, and they don't end up on the street costing society even more. argument claimed.

It doesn't say ANYTHING about the pros' of having free health care or a highest spending roof. My position is that it's good for the country as a whole. I never said anything about excise affecting health care. I was using it to demonstrate how much Sweden charges in taxes.
