@666rocko I know what you mean but I've heard the familiar accusation levelled at Ricky and don't altogether buy it. After all, no one complained that Laurel and Hardy were the same in each film did they? Great to see Smell get more work, she's a gifted comic. I can't wait for this. Love Warwick's face at 10 secs and Ricky always picks good music for trails/shows, Instant Karma here

@666rocko Ok, look at The Marx Bros, same personalities, same schtik, but different characters each movie. The only thing that didn't feel right for me is they've the same joke as Extras-actors playing odd versions of themselves. Which worked fine in Extras and would work fine in here if this show didn't establish that Extras was fiction. I dunno, it kind of betrays the gag to follow it through almost. But that said, it's still their strongest gag; Liam Neeson was this show's highlight

The thing that I constantly get from nearly every show Gervais/Merchant put together is the theme of 'pretention'. Characters constantly over estimating their own worth, showing off, being arrogant. I do like them, but, it'd be nice for a bit of new thing.

@iusefizzylogic But that's really more of a sub-theme, putting it simply, for The Office mainly. The whole story of The Office wasn't David Brent, it was Tim and Dawn, he was there for the comedy, whilst they were the main focus. Neither of them were pretentious.

I agree with you about this and extras though. Love Extras and this looks great, but I'd like to see some new themes.
