Very good looking game, I like how you gave it the retro look, but you made some of the pixel sizes change. Make it so that the pixel size stays the same, like when that big flying saucer drops the crystal when destroyed, make the pixels that make the crystal in proportion to the other pixel sizes, other than that problem, the game looks EPIC.
@adscomics The differing pixel sizes were done to convey sprite scaling that was often used on older machines like the C64... instead of joining two sprites to make a larger one, they'd often blow up a single sprite, which saved memory ;-) That's why all the bosses and larger enemies in the game are particularly chunky ;-)
