it's great that the finished version doesn't contain these scenes, in the sake of pacing, but also because they are unnecessarily "explaining", and moralizing. the movie as a whole speaks clearly and in a great way, reiterating what it says in words (i mean the final parts from these deleted scenes) would destroy (or at least degrade) the magic... good work ;)

I'm actually glad a lot of those were taken out. Some alluded to the true nature of the deal too much (calling him the devil). Also, I liked the shorter, quicker end that was used in the final. It made it feel more like the guy was done talking to him and that the murderer had lost all respect in the other guy's eyes.
