I live just round the corner from Darvish and go quite often because the food really is superb. Glad I missed Jamie Oliver though, his annoying face and irritating mockney accent would have put me off my Joojeh Kebab Fillet.

my favourite restaurant in Glasgow is Persia on Great Western Road. The food is delicious, and the helpings are really big!

This was really interesting. I'm a british-born iranian and have always wondered why persian food is so under-rated in this country despite the large number of very good restaurants around (especially in London anyway). Hopefully with top chefs like Jamie focusing the spotlight on our dishes (even if only for 3 minutes) persian food will become better known and more accepted in british culture.
