@supperevannn@supperevannn I've changed a lot on mine at this point to much to list here really. If your going to take yours off road you need to check this forum out The Ultimate Jeep.com it has everything you'll need to know on it. Just join up start reading and ask us all the questions you have. not knowing which commander you have I really can't give to much advice. There's pretty much three models all with different options. Pretty much you need a armor lift and tires to start
@lpar81 I wish I could, only one locker made for the rear and none for the front. On a technical note If you lock it you don't have to disconnect the traction control the wheels will always be at the same speed so the computer will never see anything wrong and never kick in. For rocks the computer is pretty cool for sand and mud we usually pull the ABS fuse only way to completely shut that system down
@RuBerSideDwn How do those monsters fair in the wood, personally have never seen one in the woods. U can put some decent size tires without much lift can't u?
@lpar81 For having IFS and weighing 5k LBS it does real well. I pretty much keep up with everyone on the trails obviously I work harder at it. 33" tires are about the max tire size and even then the pinch weld needs to be folded over and the wheel wells reshaped.
i have a commander limited with the hemi other than the gas mileage this is the best off road 7 passenger truck they ever made too bad they stopped making them
@haena8081 I completely agree with you. You should think about stopping by XK-Forum.com its a forum for commanders owners. There are lots of us on there modding our jeeps and taking them to the next level. Or if you ever have problems stop by we have plenty of experts hanging out were always willing to give some advice.
I Just got a commander (from my dad) what's all been changed on yours. My friend has a fixed up tacoma with 33. What should I do to keep up with him?
