  • what year is the gear? i am asking about the coat and pants

  • damn 1:16! EXPERIENCE!

  • Red gear?

  • Weird gear

  • pretty lame..

  • @shai92 Shut the fuck up. You tell them their lame when your house is on fire.

  • how old is your SCBA equipment?

  • @LCEUclan This stuff was early 90's i believe so it was probably about 15 years old. We have older yet from the 80's, but that is all only training stuff now and we are getting ready to sell some of it. We recently (since this video) purchase new Draeger SCBA to outfit all of our apparatus.

  • I can do all of that in 52 sec and i have someone at my station can do it in 42 sec.

  • my god thats slow, u didnt even fasten ur pants, check the gauges, turn the air on or ensure a mask seal... u got some work to do

  • what is the NFPA standard isnt it like 90 seconds they want you to be geared up on air

  • 2 Minutes.

  • If your going by NFPA standards then they should also have the helmet secured before donning the scba over the head too

  • Chin strap was not secured for first firefighter but otherwise EXCELLENT!

  • Why do the survivairs whistle real loud? Do they only do that on camera or do they do that loud whistle in real life too?

  • @NewAgeServerAlarm Yes they are loud in real life too.....

  • they both forgot to check there seal on there face macks but the did really well

  • What's good with the modern rigs is the scba is molded into the aparatus seating cutting down on "BDU dress time" at the scene

    Good show

  • Is this volly?

  • nice!!! My best time is 1min 32 secs. Of course we try to always remain under 2 minutes. Keep up the good work and remain safe. Richton Mississippi Volunteer Fire

  • Shoot for 60 seconds, it CAN be done! (boots, pants, coat, hood,SCBA mask w/seal check, gloves, all straps hooked) I havent gotten that far yet, I did a 1:13 but failed on neck exposure and forgot seal check!

  • i consistently get 1:02 at fire school from duty uniform (with laced boots) to on air. they check our pants (the guys in this video didnt secure their pants) all velcro has to be secured, SCBA knob all the way turned on, seal on facepiece checked, hood tucked in, helmet tight, gloves all the way on and straps on the pack tightened properly. my fastest time is :58.

  • I put my gear on quick but not too quick cause last thing i need is to get burned or injured

  • it was actaully a min 30 when he was all done but still faster than me lol

  • he actually didt finish he forgot gloves. and thats an ok time. Good enough to pass rookie school

  • Those guy are lucky their coats have zippers mine has snaps take longer to put on.

  • Hahah i have snaps and then the clips it takes forever

  • i used to have a zipper on my coat, it seemed it was always get stuck or something, i prefer the snaps

  • everybody practices to get in there bunker gear asap i just throw my pants on grab my jacket and have the rest of my gear (not scba) in my helmet

  • yeah same here... everyone else gets everything on an misses the truck mines is volunteer and there are a bunch of Aholes in the company

  • it easy not to miss the truck tell everybody to put there pants on grab there jacket and jump on the rig have your mask and gloves on your jacket and put hood in pocket then get dress on the way to the call your not going to put your mask on untill you get out of your truck

  • thank you mcclurefire for the clarification and confirmation. lets hope that all understand both of our points concerning this. How I evaluate our membership is that they do a great response and return uninjured and alive.

  • Again, I stress a more calmer determined appearance. Remember this. The turnouts and scba's your wearings first occupation is to keep you safe so you can then do what is required. A frantic response time is a liability if it results in a casualty to any responders. Get there quickly and calmly is always the priority. This measuring how good a company is by its response time has corrupted the real purpose of responding. more to follow,,,,,

  • Yes, I believe that the majority of the comments posted on this video assume that we rush like this on calls. No so. The last thing we need is for a member to get injured due to carelessness preparing to go in or something. However, every now and then some of them just like to show off at training. This is by know means how we actually perform these tasks, just a couple of guys showing off...nothing more.

  • With my luck i would hit myself in the face with the tank.

  • Not trying to bring you guys down but 1:16 isn't the fastest. Our explorers post gets it in 1:05.

  • cool video

  • nice hustle

  • hmm... i think its better if you put your hood down after you donn the coat idk just my .02

  • Asking for a burn on your neck.

  • the guy on the left didnt tighten his helmet up. if he had gone slower and smoother he wudnt of missed it

  • i Like the blue face masks but u guy are so slow

  • a good quote to remember for turnout races is slow is smooth smooth is fast

  • takes practice to do a good job in that amount of time. i however want my volunteers to take that calming breath, do it correctly and never race to suit up. minute 16 is damn good.

  • we are a volunteer co and our trucks roll out in 2 min

  • we can do it in 32 seconds! i'll post videos when we start trainin!

  • Wish i had the video. best time of 58sec full gear and scba on air.

  • Get down with your bad self!! One hell of a time!

  • Ya right

  • Oops, ignore that^^^^

  • Good work...check out my vid on donning gear...:)

  • ...im sure they know that, they appear to be Firefighters...

  • lol @ co19ff

  • Lol

  • your a disgrace..

  • got into mine at durham college with the belt mounted reg. in 1.09

  • Wow, your SCBA's are different from ours. :D Along with your turnouts. Mine are velcro bottom, button then clip. ^^ Wicked vid. I am looking at vids for when I have to do my TurnOut test. T-T

  • Great job!

  • We have to get in Full Turnout Gear in 30 seconds from tone out.

  • I would love to see a video of somebody doing that

  • squeaky.

  • Yes it is...I'm assuming from your vids that you run with a Juniata Company?

  • Is this McClure PA?
