God sent down many books before the Quran but were all changed over time and then sent the finale revelation to Mohammad (Pbh) as the finale message and made a promise to safe guard it till the end of time and we are all held accountable bc there would be no excuses for us on the day of judgement and then we would know who was right and who was wrong. @futurstew We are all held accountable which is why God sent down so many prophets down to us, carrying the same message that God is One and all mighty and nobody deserves no worship but him. Almost every page in the Quran it mentions Heaven and Hell warning us that we should do good and forbid evil. @futurstew The concept of the Trinity came later way before Jesus's death in the last books of the bible and was introduced as a new concept. God is an individual who is one not 3 in one which is considered a sin in Islam. God has many attributes and one of them is the most merciful and you are right he is, but God is also the fair and is the best judge. Heaven is not granted for those who sin and do wrong, its only for the pious religious people.

The earth rest on plates which are in motion. The "roots" of mountains help stabilize the ground on top.

And because of these traits, God's righteous anger made Him hate the evil that sin produced so much, that He stepped down from His universal throne to save mankind. He came down to Earth as Jeus Christ(Jesus being the incarnation of God), to die for our sins. But why would God do such a thing? Why would the Creator die to save His creation?

God loved His creation so much that He could not endure the sight of suffering that human beings went through because of sin. A loving parent would without a doubt take the place of a suffering child. So this is why Jesus died for us, because only God would have the power to rebuke sin and to overcome death.

@KingofSomalia23 that is because you missinterpret the notion of Trinity, we believe indeed that there is but One God. But God has the ability to be what humans can't be. He did not wait for the earth to be created, for men to be created to be fertile and full of love. He is fertile within himself, that is why we christians believe that God is Father, Son/Word, and Holy Spirit= those three entities (call them as you wish) are ONE God, not three! (yes I know it is paradoxical).

@futurstew We believe that Jesus was sent down here as a prophet but with a miracle birth with no father because God is the creator of all things. Just like Moses, Ibraham, and Noah were sent with the same message and thats to worship God alone and that God is one and all mighty. Jesus preached that and when he said I and the Father are one, which means that Jesus is on God's side and that God has given him knowledge. Jesus never says "I am God" or "Worship me alone" straight up.

But if Jesus was God he should have just said it straight up to clear everything up so we wouldnt be having this argument. Yes people did want to kill him and people believed he was killed as a sacrafice, but if God was able to do all things, instead of having the son as a sacrafice, couldnt God just have forgiven the people of Israel with out killing like he did for Abraham and his son?

The thing is, this is not only about saving men ( and not just the people of Israel by the way) and forgiving them for their sins it is also about HOW he does it. According to us, he wanted to experience what we humans, experience through sufferance and death, he did it out of pure love for his creature. The death of christ is a pure show of mercy and love from God We are so important for him that he is ready to go as far as that for each one of us.

But also passages relating Christ Baptism, Christ Transfiguration, Christ Trial, Christ Resurection...Also when he says "Before Abraham was, I am" (thus using the present of 'to be"= YVH, the name of God, which you must nerver use) the crowd tries to stone him after, they wouldn't if it wasn't a forceful claim to Divinity.

Im no bible expert nor a Quran expert but i try my best to learn as much knowledge as possible to try and help people but in the Bible it says Jesus was only sent to the lost sheep in Israel in Matthew Ch 15 vrse 24. He refused to help the women. If that was God and was sent to all of mankind he would help her regardless bc he died for her sins right?

Jesus is part of the Trinity, and God the Father is still "in charge" of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Kind of weird to explain, but simply, Jesus was obeying His Father. @KingofSomalia23 It's like gravity. Can we explain and understand it 100%? No, but we do believe it. It's God we're talking about...we can't explain everything about Him, but the Trinity is there. Why would he do that to us...? It's not a BAD thing that we don't understand him 100%. It's normal if anything, and in the end it's the message He teaches that's important. Personally, I view the Trinity like: Mind (God), Body (Jesus), Soul (Holy Spirit). That's my exclusive view.

@futurstew We cant just rely on faith alone. We must have strong proof and faith together. God sent down many books before the Quran but were all changed over time and then sent the finale revelation to Mohammad (Pbh) as the finale message and made a promise to safe guard it till the end of time and we are all held accountable bc there would be no excuses for us on the day of judgement and then we would know who was right and who was wrong. But why wait till its too late?

@futurstew The concept of the Trinity came later way before Jesus's death in the last books of the bible and was introduced as a new concept. God is an individual who is one not 3 in one which is considered a sin in Islam. God has many attributes and one of them is the most merciful and you are right he is, but God is also the fair and is the best judge. Heaven is not granted for those who sin and do wrong, its only for the pious religious people.

@verdecabo1001 the qur'an doesnt say anywhere that the earth is flat. if anything it clearly say that earth is the shape of an ostrich egg. about the mountains you need to look at it from a geological point of view. The earth rest on plates which are in motion. The "roots" of mountains help stabilize the ground on top.

Triune God is real as Matthew 28:19 "Go therefore and disciple all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." Although by human logic we cannot understand the concept of Triune as 3 doesn't equal 1 and 1 isn't 3 it is still true. Just as u cannot explain resurrection by human logic u cannot explain the Triune God by logic. It is a mystery to us but all we need to do is receive him and enjoy.

And because of these traits, God's righteous anger made Him hate the evil that sin produced so much, that He stepped down from His universal throne to save mankind. God loved His creation so much that He could not endure the sight of suffering that human beings went through because of sin. A loving parent would without a doubt take the place of a suffering child. So this is why Jesus died for us, because only God would have the power to rebuke sin and to overcome death.

He did not wait for the earth to be created, for men to be created to be fertile and full of love. He is fertile within himself, that is why we christians believe that God is Father, Son/Word, and Holy Spirit= those three entities (call them as you wish) are ONE God, not three! Just like Moses, Ibraham, and Noah were sent with the same message and thats to worship God alone and that God is one and all mighty. I'm not trying to do proselytism I just think you need to read the text before you make an opinion (I myself frequently read the Coran and try and compare the two, I think it is a decisive path in the way to finding the truth) Of course Jesus doesn't use those words: "I'm God, worship me" in a human shape. Every time he clames his real identity he almost gets killed, and they did eventually crucified him.

According to us, he wanted to experience what we humans, experience through sufferance and death, he did it out of pure love for his creature. All I'm saying is that when I read al Quran I'm having trouble finding the same loveful and compassionate God that the Bible made me accustomed to. Who knows may be I'm the problem. But also passages relating Christ Baptism, Christ Transfiguration, Christ Trial, Christ Resurection...Also when he says "Before Abraham was, I am" (thus using the present of 'to be"= YVH, the name of God, which you must nerver use) the crowd tries to stone him after, they wouldn't if it wasn't a forceful claim to Divinity.

@KingofSomalia23 Because He did feel pain, he did feel human emotion, and he was human at that time. It's a concept pretty hard to explain, but then again, it is God we're talking about. Jesus is part of the Trinity, and God the Father is still "in charge" of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Kind of weird to explain, but simply, Jesus was obeying His Father. Remember that verse after the ones you were talking about where he says let His (God's) will be done and not His own (Jesus')?

The high priest was seeing if Jesus was going to committ blasphemy by answering yes to the question by claiming to be the Son of God, the divine, God himself. Jesus' answer in the afirmative caused the high priest to tare his closes and accuse him of blasphemy. @janansparlai when you read something, you have to consider it's context. In the Greek world of the time, Women covered their head as was the custom. This is a cultural rule and not a rule for every culture. Bible does not say not to drink, it says don't get drunk. Gambling is okay, but excess gambling is bad. The wheat and the tares grow together, which means those who believe live along side those who don't. It's not madated by the government. I accidently surfed in here.

Just written is an example of conflicting ideas in Islam. Just as the Jewish woman who killed Muhammed with poison died from it 3 years later to prove he wasn't a prophet (and she did). It may be a controversy but those were his final moments should have been significant in Islam that he MAY have been a phony. .
