Its always joy to tell other people about our history & culture, Oyo was a great empire in Western Nigeria and all the Yoruba tribes and Kingdoms were brought into peace during the time of the Oyo. Before, they battled/fought with no real gains for people, But the French and the British led the Yoruba tribes to fight each other and the Oyo empire fell, this was in the 1900s. Today Yoruba people live all through Nigeria, Benin and many many were brought to America as slave.,

On one hand they say protection and military support, but there is control and loss of freedom on the other hand.
