The great success of the right is to convince people that politics is somehow divorced from other parts of human activity. When in fact there is nigh on NOTHING that is not affected by politics. Economics, especially but by no means exclusively, macroeconomics, is a classic case of this.
We would say that the "models" are only a justification.
Politics just consume justifications.
And THAT is a problem!
