  • This video was so beautifully put together, Especially the song :)

and i agree with both comments, John Smith did love her with all he had, but of course in many occasions we are not loved the way we would want to be. Men have their own life and their own dreams that they put first.

  • Just because John Smith had dreams of his own and wasn't a gentleman like John Rolfe was doesn't mean he didn't love Pocahontas with all that he had. Sometimes people don't love you how you want them too. I'm sad with how it ended up, but the whole point of the first movie is how their feelings overcame the racial devide, he wasn't a deliberate cunt to her when he called her a 'savage' - John Rolfe had a different background and job to smith, of course he was going to accept her more.

  • Considering how most Disney sequels end up, this one and the Lion King ones were probably the only ones I could stand. Besides, John Rolfe is way better. He's much more sensitive of her feelings and a total gentleman. :)

  • team smith

  • i really HATE POCAHONTAS 2

    -_-

  • bellissimo video!!

  • I know some of you people might be upset Pocahontas married John Rolfe, but that's the way history puts it. She was 12 when John Smith came! And he was like 45. So, just think on that.

  • @legolion4 Plus, I think it may be the only or one of the only few times that Disney has shown first love not working out.

  • i always got pissed that she left the first guy =..=

  • This + the song 'if I never knew you' = crying.

    Btw: John Smith FTW

  • TEAM MEEKO.

  • Is beatifull

  • @eswizzle13 you are so right!

  • @eswizzle13 That reminded me, my friends and I were talking about miracles (for some hippie reason) and my one friend thought: how about a booming voice from the sky? I told her: What'll it say? Simba you are my son? XD kind of relates...

  • btw the song's from buffy the vampire slayer

  • CAN ANONE PLS TELL ME WHERE TO WATCH THIS 2nd MOVIE?! SOMEONE PLS UPLOAD. I SAW THE 1st ONE ON YOUTUBE AND THEY DID NOT GET IT. PLEASE!!! :)

  • i like john rolfe,he is just,. he wanted to let her go when he saw that she still loves john smith, but than it turned out she loves him2. i am both teams. i just can't decide. but john smith still loves her,and you know what they say,if you love her set her free. (or something like that)

  • I love John Ralph. O.O

  • He didn't love her (John Smith) - he did nothing to find her, to be with her. Men are like this all. They let go easily, live their life without regrets, without looking into past and into their hearts (most of them). At least Rolfe loved her, really wanted her good, that's why she married him. It's sad but hopeful.

  • @pryscylla12311 muy cierto lo que dices, te apoyo :-)

  • @pryscylla12311 i agree, perhaps, that was the oppinion why pocahontas choosen Rolfe...

  • der 1. film is viel besser !! der 2. war nur geldmacherrei ... ich heul beim ersten jedes mal ... <3

  • Ps im a 90's child and all my birthday parties were disney movie themed!! I feel so lucky to have been exposed to in my opinion disney's most theatrical and memorable movies of all time : )

  • to anyone who may be offended or have their own opinions about how disney went about telling the story/ledgend of pocahontas, please remember that all native american indian stories/ledgends are not set in stone (literally). Native americans did not keep written records, stories are passed down through traditional oral storytelling, and may be told differently depending on the storyteller. there is no right or wrong in native american storytelling.each is open to ones own interpretation.

  • Did anyone else realize this is the Buffy and Angel love theme? *sob*

  • @Ehren91

Yup, instantly. It's one of my favourite tracks from Christophe Beck. Sad, powerful and beautiful at the same time...

  • Comment removed

  • i always loved the 2nd one but man... this video took me back to my childhood with the first one being compared with the second. hah i felt freakin sad!

  • pocahontas has a thing for english dudes, i suppose... ;)

  • I remember that when I was little I didn't undestand why she changed guys... really, it was never clear for me. And... since when does Disney really cares about making historical movies? Just look at Mulan 2 and see a totally anachronic bunch of feminists, Mulan at the front, when in China it was practically imposible that it happened.

  • The only reason why they made da 2nd one because ppl complained it wasn't historically accurately soo they made da 2nd one

  • Yeah...Yeah... I get it ...The 2nd part was more historically accurate and she actually ended up with Rolf in real life. THEN WHY THE F@@@@ did they make the first one! Why did they build this epic, beautiful and tragic romance in order to shutter it in pieces in the second movie! If only they could have gone with the actual story from the first one and saved us from all the tears we shed for Pokahontas and Smith getting appart!

  • I guess Pochahontas has a thing for Johns

  • I love the first movie better. I'm totally Team John Smith, and I love Pocahantas & Smith's love story way more. It's a shame that she let go of him.

  • @EVERYONE WHO HATE IT THAT POCAHONTAS FELL IN LOVE WITH THIs GUY: I totally agree, BUT don't forget, that Pocahontas is based on a true Story (or a Legend). And what happend really? The same. So don't take it that Bad.

I think the First Movie was better too, but the 2nd wasnt Bad.

  • TEAM JOHN SMITH

  • @shybabs

    Right on F John Rolph

That passionate kiss at 2:27 to 2:30 said it all.

  • Oh ... I hate the end :o

  • Bah. Far deeper is what I meant. Stupid grammar. XD

  • @MerlinGirl20 far more deep does work too :p But definitely agree. It's also less tragic, but obviously, since it's Disney xD

  • The first movie may have been historically inaccurate, but it was far more deep and beautiful than the second. My own personal opinion.

  • THUMBS UP IF YOU THINK THAT POCAHONTAS 1 IS WAY BETTER THAN THE SECOND ONE

  • Yah some haters , I Love this <3

  • but in real life she didnt marry john smith she married john rolfe...... im taking a test on this

  • @keepdoorclosed102 THANK YOU!

  • wait, THERE WAS A SECOND ONE?!?!?!?!?!1

  • @caruuLein In real life that's actually who she married.

  • My problem with the sequel was is looked cheep. The first movie was so beautiful and then they didn't give as much care to the 2nd movie.

  • She ended up with the other guy cuz John changed into an asshole, simple as that.

  • nooooo!!!!!!

  • Love that this is set to the Buffy/Angel theme <3

  • I would have liked this video if she had ended up with john.

  • I'm really happy they made a sequel, but Disney made a mistake when Pocahontas ended up with the the wrong man....

  • I usually don't mind sequels. But this one. I HATED it. I don't care if it's more "historically accurate" I never liked how she didn't end up with John. . .

  • what happened in pocahontas two between john smith and poca?

  • @babybloo1995 the king of england gave john smith his own ship, but pocahontas didnt want to go sailing with him, she wanted to return home

  • talk about big flirts

  • Pocahontas 2 is a lame !!!!!!!!!

  • she reminds me of rihhana

  • Gah! Pocahontas you are dead to me. Slut.

  • @allycat228 No sluttier than the average high school female who has a new crush every week. :)

  • I hated the second one just because I adored Smith so much more. :P And I really couldn't care less about historical accuracy.

  • The song played on this beautiful video is Close your eyes by Christopher Beck and it is know has Buffy and Angel theme! Such a peaceful song...

  • OMG guys, who cares bout disney being with one guy. They tried something different, which i'll give them credit for and it was historical too since she did end up with rolfe in real life. People change and so can love. Just because there wasn't much chem between poca and rolfe in the movie doesn't mean he didnt understand her when smith couldn't. It's beyond that. && he even chose to let her go for her love of smith but she chose him.

  • @werew3 Thank you!!! I actually liked this sequel!!! Most sequels are completely horrible!!

  • Pocahontas in rl life got raped by John Smith =( and she still loves him? The movie is some what close from reality but u think about her she was tramitized by john smith afraid of him

  • @lmaoturtle Really? i heard he was just a father figure to her since she was suppose to be like what.. 12 only when she met him??

  • pocahontas you sluu...your supposed to stick with one guy, that's how Disney works. geezz.

  • @freerhymin4life well she is from the wilderness

     lol

  • so wait pocahontas doesn't marry john smith? but why does she like the rolf dude instead? im so confused! i thought she liked john smith i just dont understand it apperantly! please help me!!!!! i wanna understand it because its confussing=confusing :p

  • i <3 d 2nd movie!!coz i like John R. for Pocahontas than John S...

  • That video is so amazing! I love it! When I saw the second movie I just hated it as many others too like I've seen. But then I read the original book... Disney just made the real story come out... Or something very near. And now, when I watch you video it feels like remebering some szenes from the book even if you surely haven't read it. But I love you for doing this to me - THANKS

  • Wait John smith DIED!

  • @ShmittleMHS no no no disney would never let that happen....they let him live.

  • FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIL pocahontas 2 !! meaningless and useless, at least the love story in pocahontas 1 was AWESOME and SUPER ROMANTIC! can we just pretend like pocahontas 2 never existed ?!!! cuz it ruined everything :(

  • @993Sherry haha, that's what I always said. I watched the 2nd one once and put it away never to be found again. In my mind there is only one pocahontas movie.

  • @mahbalkum whit me too i really hated the second movie, john rolf was not the true one for here !!

john smith is the one and only !!!!

  • please, what is name of the song from this video?

  • @anakasun it's the song from buffy the vampire slayer. I think you can find it with buffy and angel love theme

  • John Rolfe is who she really married in real life.

  • whos the guy with the brown hair ? i thought her lover was blonde ?! :/

  • I'm just gonna act like Pocahontas 2 was never made. I'm gonna go watch the first now. brb.

  • @songbirdrobyn oh my God i totally agree with u !!!!!! pocahontas 2 its a lame !!!!!!!

  • @songbird- me too, i hate pocahontas 2! its not wat i did expected it should be. im so mad, i mean pocahontas 1 is d best & its so romantic & all, like john smith said 2 poca that he would rather die tomorow than live a hundred years w/o knowin pocahontas & so pocahontas said " father, if you kill john smith then u have to kill me too" that was very touching. but then pocahontas 2 ruined everythng cos if they hav 2 die 4 each other then why they not togethr at the end? it just didnot make sense.

  • @songbirdrobyn I'll join you, I just have to finish burning my copy of pocahontas 2

  • I love Pocahontas, but this is Buffy and Angel's theme.

  • I prefer John Smith :(

  • this is with the music from Buffy <3

  • I love the music until 2:07 :P

  • Me to i hated it! I prefer John Smith :P

  • What a whore T.T poor John

  • In my opinion John rolfe is the better one for her , because he's the one how really love her. John Smith didn't even write her, although he could do. And in the real story she also married John Rolfe. Maybe it's because of the change of John Smith charakter in the second part that I've this opinion. If his charakter didn't have changed , maybe my opinion would be the same as yours.

  • @rikax3 yeh in the second one they made john smith out to be a right arrogant tool

  • there was a number 2???

  • c'est la chanson de l'amour entre buffy et angel

  • Pocahantus is a classic =) I love that movie

  • It's close your eyes, composed by Christopher Beck...the Buffy/Angel love theme song :(

  • the second movie stole her beauty

  • @killbobish dood that's not like you

  • lovely video

YES i found out who composed the song Christopher Beck

  • j'adore la musique! C'est quoi? Je dois le savoire! C'est vraiment trop chic!

  • i love john smith and is the best hero ever.with pocahontas.they have the strongest love...btw in my head there are only pocahontas and john smith...

  • really beautyfull. Une belle vidéo. Emotionnel avec la musique magnifique. (if it's right in French, I only learned it years ago in school in Germany^^)

  • @verosecret007 for movie purposes they should have kept them together. Why is Pocahontas the only princess who doesn't get the right guy?

  • Pocahontas to me was the only Disney Princess that showed her true beauty, though she is stubborn she is very much loved

  • Pocahantis was and is not a disney PRINSSES she is the dauter of the cheif but not a prinsses, mulan is the savor of china but not a prinsses

  • @IIsASmartypants there is such thing as a native american princess: the daughter of the cheif. I'm serious my like a ton of greats grandma has is it written next to her name on our family tree "indian princess" and she was the daughter of the cheif. I'm only like 1/16 native american though, but she was 100% because it was like 200 years ago you know

  • @mlballerina ok then, pocahantis was but mulan is not

  • @IIsASmartypants she is and so is mulan

    there are 9 princesses now

    COUNT THEM :/

  • @ZombieTiffy pocanhantis was but mulan is not,how is mulan a princesses? please explain

  • @IIsASmartypants idk i havent watched mulan in like 10 years sooo... go to the disney princesses website, she will be standing there, i think thats proof enough lmao... its just mulan and pocahontas arent GIRLY enough to be on every blanket, sticker, poster, etc... they are princesses but they are the least popular out of the 9

  • @IIsASmartypants Wikipedia said she's "the only one who is not related to royalty and still be considered a Disney Princess." So you're right she's not a princesss, she was a warrior.

  • @JunsWife91

U have got to be kidding me rolfe suks

  • Pocahontas two sucked. She changed too much. She was meant to be with Smith, not that stuck up fancy new world prick.

  • Pocahontas was not like any other princess, she doesn't need a rescuer, she's the rescuer to her guy. People think John Smith is not a hero in this movie but he did take a bullet for Pocahontas' dad, that seems very hero-like and he also saved Thomas. What did Rolfe do... oh yeah he gave her a horse whoopie! I hate how Disney made a second movie, I am still trying to forget

  • @mlballerina Yes, I know that Rolfe did not do much, but I think that Smith was the "muscular, hero" type of people, as you said. This world, yes, has many different types of people. I think we both understand that. So, I think that not every "princess" (Pocahontas is technically not one), including her, might want a more "Rolfe" type of person. Not everyone wants to marry heroes, you know. I mean, Rolfe isn't really that bad. Just less "manly." So what? People can be what they want to be. ^ ^

  • @leonoeii Rolfe didn't like Pocahontas until he changed her. John Smith LOVED her the way she was. I know I would never go for a "Rolfe", I'm sorry but I think he is an idiot for being so rude to Pocahontas in the beginning of the movie. And seriously who wouldn't marry a boy who you loved and risked your life for and he risked his life to save your father? so yes, Rolfe is bad, at least in my mind... actually no, in my mind I'm trying to forget about him.

  • @mlballerina

Rolfe changed her and then realized that he liked the "old her" He may have put her in fancy clothes but he never changed her spirit

  • i love pocahintas, she is my favorite princess.

  • The real Pocahontas was kiddnapped and forced to marry for a peace contract.

She made into a Christian and given the name Rebecca.

    Just sayin'.

  • @Godslilknitter She was also of 9 years of age during that time period.

  • I meant to 9-11 years old

  • i really dislike it when people think that pocahontas was a slut just because she fell in love with someone after smith.

real people love more than one person, date more than once. a lot of people marry twice, or more.

she's human, and her and john smith have both changed.

    besides, rolfe's cuter. :D

  • I know Rolfe is so cute!! Haha!!

  • @Gamaineable That's how I think!

I mean, just because she's a Disney Princess, she's also only a woman and it's normal, that you're perhaps in love with another than the first great love you know?

(sorry for my bad english, I'm german)

Besides, I like Rolfe more than Smith!

  • @Gamaineable O.o women

  • i don;t like john rolfe when she is with him she is not herself she is made up as a proper english lady with powder to lighten her skin and clothes to make her fit in. when shes with smith she is herself. her proud native american princess self. her real self

  • Also, I find it adds to the sadness of her life's story...during that return trip back to her home with Rolph, she had died of some illness, either just before or after reaching home. Or so i read about it somewhere, anyway...she was still pretty young when she died, like in her 20's i think, and yes they had already been married. So whenever i see that last scene of them leaving on the boat, it's even more sad to think she doesn't actually make it home alive, IRL.

  • Hey that musical piece is from Buffy the Vampire Slayer! It took me a couple times listening to this to figure it out lol, but i knew i'd heard it somewhere before.

  • It's ... wonderful. No words can really explain. (i'm speaking french, sorry for my bad english).

  • Je parle francais également ne tkt pas ^^

  • @PetiteFleurWwj actually that's better english then how people speak who speak english as their first language at my school

the way they speak is slang for every original english phrase

  • i like the video but i think you need 2 add music with words in to really bring out the emotions

  • How could she leave him? After all they've been through? He taught her love, and she just leaves him? If Smith hadn't lived, it would have been a nice ending, but Smith DID live! I hate ranting, but why, Pocahontas? Why?

  • I felt the same :) but I realised that Smith has changed. Actually both have changed... They were separated for years. And the love has gone. Telling the truth, I think their love was simply an excessive feeling because of each other's strange and brand new world. It was a real love but burnt too fast.

I've got first hand experience... :)

But I hope they were happy together with Rolfe. For those few years... :(

  • I supose you're right. But I still think that Smith should have died, or not come back to England, so that she wouldn't seem unfaithful. Had she not seen him again, it would have been a good moving on. I suppose I like the ending though, where she says, "we were on the same path once, but things have changed."

  • @MoonstarAnNightchild its a true story and there is no real evidence that suggests that they were romantically involved

  • I knowtha,I've done researech myself, but it's just themovie talking. None of it is factual. She was already married to Rolph when the meeting with th king happened. Why can't temovie just be unfactual as a whole? I'm not disagreeing with themovie, and 'm not disagreeing with history, but I have feelings and I have emotions, and Iknow that, andI'm realy mad right now, andI don't like people suggestingthat I'm incompetant.

  • @charlotteanneborg It's a fictitious cartoon, that's not even politically correct, that was made to show people(appeal to young girls) the same routine about beautiful princesses, heroes, choices, and happily ever afters. John Smith was 20 something and Pocahontas was between the age of 9-11 soooo I can't really picture the story... If you say the names are factual and "some" things in there are factual then I'll agree.

  • And she force to go to England by a peace treaty, she was described by John Smith as ""a child of tenne years old." Her name was change to Rebecca Rolfe after her baptism, she had a child with John Rolfe... And when she had decided to return back to America, she died on the boat on her way back. The "Disney" version is partially right.

  • hate rolf... and especially hate christian bale in the movie version

  • 2 u cant rally voice your opinion in that way because u havnt met rolf but i do agree with you on the subject of bale theres just something not right, i get that vib from his eyes

  • @charlotteanneborg It's a fictitious cartoon, that's not even politically correct, that was made to show people the same routine of princesses, heroes, choices, and happily ever afters. What will meeting John Rolfe, the cartoon, do? But that's just me voicing my opinion.

  • NOICE!!!

  • che canzone è???

  • awesome video...i like it (Y)

  • wunderschön gemacht ^^

  • je préférais quand elle était avec Smith !!!!!! :'(

I preferred when she was with Smith!!!!!! :'(

  • omg... this touch me horribly

  • she should mary smith but the real pocahonats married rolfe

  • Pocahontas 2 est horrible! Le 1 était pas historiquement correct alors ça valait pas la peine de tout ruiner pour que le 2 le soit! La Pocahontas du 2 a aucun rapport avec rien! Elle s'est trahie elle même je trouve.

  • I like pocahontas

  • Pocahontas 2 ruined everything for me...I absolutely hated it!

  • @songbirdrobyn anyway... Pocahontas 2 was based on a true story and the first part was only disney creation. ^^"

  • @songbirdrobyn agreed, i really didnt like the second one because they made john smith look bad but he was the best!!

  • @songbirdrobyn really i kinda wanna c it cuz of da songs
