Ian was on Capricorn here...they had Cake, 311, and were a somewhat viable record label. This album didn't make him a star. To Ian's credit, he did EVERTHING they asked. It didn't work. Ian moved on. But if i'm payin to see a band....gimme this lineup.
Ian went through a period of withdrawal after about 2000. When I was working as a journalist, I pushed for an interview, but his agent insisted he was burned out and considering total seclusion. The dude was definately hot shit in the late 90's. Saw him live at East Beach on Galveston Island. Wasn't able to count all the bras thrown on stage by females in the audience...
It's amazing to go back and look at how he has evolved as an artist. I'm partial to his releases beginning with Green Grass but I love his first two records immensely. I had never seen this video, it's one of my favourite songs from those first two records!
I've listened to clips to his 07 release and although I like it, I don't like it nearly as much as his first 2 or 3, just my preference in music. I like Bluesie music.
Hi - sorry about that comment - it wasn't me, it was someone logged on (my ex) as me and didn't realize it. I, myself, don't really have an opinion on this kind of skill level, but honestly, it looks like he has a ton of talent and skill to play guitar that fast. Again, I apologize for the rudeness... Peace.
I interviewed Ian three times as a radio disc jockey in Victoria, TX. I wish I'd seen this video before my last interview during the release of the "Ian Moore Action Company" album, it would made for a great piece of entertainment. Still does just seeing this. Don't forget to check out Ian in "Sling Blade". Thanx for posting this video! Great picture and audio quality!

He's gotten to be boring, but he's still a genius.

Boring to someone who watches Petrucci play to a metronome I suppose.

And people still thought he wanted to be SRV. This is fucking cool. What was he thinking? I love it.
